In 1780 John Jameson opened the doors of the Jameson Distillery Bow St in Dublin. Jameson Irish Whiskey is made by mixing rich pot still whiskey from malted and unmalted barley with the finest grain whiskey, both of which are distilled three times, to ensure smoothness. Triple distillation is nothing new to Jameson. What is completely new, however, is that it is also aged in Malaga barrels in addition to the usual bourbon and sherry barrels. Jameson's characteristic taste is breaking new ground without denying its origin: the subtle sweetness and special gentleness merge with the aromas of vanilla, toffee and roasted oak. Notes of fresh citrus fruits, stone fruits and spices make this Jameson something special.
