This bag is a good size for a school backpack. I say the quality is on par with what you pay for - solid mid range with a good variety of classic colours. I wanted something simple that matched any outfit my son wore and wasn’t too childish once he outgrew a phase. I got the dark red and it was true to colour. Zippers are good quality. The model up from this uses actual leather and a higher grade poly but for the price point I’d say it’s on par. I’d say for this size it’s good for a great 1/2 and up!

I have been using Jansport's backpacks for almost 2 decades now, and I am deeply disappointed in this last purchase. I wanted to substitute a red "Right Pack" and this time chose the basic "Superbreak". I loved the Viking Red of my previous backpack, but the RUSSET RED I got this time is outrageous!!!! It is not a real red, it's a deep, dark magenta. Horrible! The WHITE LINING is also horrible! The water bottle POCKET is also to small to fit my regular 32 oz. Hydroflask. This pocket should be big enough to hold this or other bottles. I am very disappointed in these design mistakes. The material has changed and seems low quality. I've always had a Jansport but this backpack is definitely not in the same caliber and quality.Beware! I'm returning this right away!

I wanted to replace my girlfriend's old Jansport that was falling apart and we were extremely disappointed in the quality and color. It just feels cheap and the inside is a BRIGHT white, which doesn't go with anything at all and is so ugly. Sounds like they're saving themselves money bc there are other ways to be environmentally friendly honestly. Really bad choice IMO. I'm returning it and going with another company that's more aesthetically pleasing and has better canvas material/quality, which is too bad bc I really liked Jansport before and wanted to continue that.

I use this product for my university classes, on-campus errands, small supermarket pitstops, and visits to friends, where I tend to bring art supplies, homework, my bluetooth speaker, and more. The laptop pocket is perfect for my laptop, but I also can use it for my pencil case and small notebooks when I want them separate from my other wares. It's been so fun and comfortable to pack up and carry with me. My previous JanSport backpack, lasting 5 years and counting, wasn't really worn out; I accidentally got one of the zippers really stuck in it, and then my cat marked on it. I just needed something fresh with functioning zippers. I really can depend on JanSport to make cute, functional, and long-lasting bags.
What can I say about this backpack that hasn’t already been said? The reason I’m such a fan of Jansport is because of products like this. The Superbreak is well built, functional, and affordable. This isn’t a pack that I want to carry heavy loads in. I don’t find it comfortable for that purpose. I have other daypacks that do a far better job at that. However, lightly loaded this thing is fantastic. For a full day out I can carry all my essentials, including a jacket or a hoodie for example, and it feels great.I use other Jansport products, such as the Large Accessory Pouch, Lunch Box and Cinch Caddy, to organize my gear inside the bag. I think everyone should have a Superbreak!
Amazing backpack! I have another jansport but needed to upgrade to something with a water bottle pocket and laptop sleeve. Other backpacks just made me unhappy and frustrated so I went back to my original life partner Jansport. This one did NOT disappoint! The peony design and colors are so attractive, bright, calming,happy. I like that the laptop sleep is way more padded than the initial versions of it. Just the same amazing Jansport quality with simple but useful basics that will last through many adventures. HIGHLY RECOMMEND Jansport!
This is a great and cute product! The sleeves are comfortable so they don't hurt your shoulders! I fit my laptop, a folder, a notebook and there's still plenty of room. The side pockets for bottles are great as well! The front pocket is great for pencils, pens, highlighters, calculator, hand sanitizer, cream, chapstick, gum, and your headphones. "Review Sweepstakes"

After only 4 months of normal use (folders, notebooks, iPad- nothing overly bulky or heavy) the strap is almost completely ripped away from the backpack and the one of the zippers is jammed on the main compartment. To make matters worse, I contacted jansport regarding their "warranty" and was told that I need to ship the item back to them at my cost for them to examine to determine if they can repair it. They assured me there was no other option. With rising shipping costs, I just paid $24 to ship a defective backpack back. This was the cheapest shipping option. Several years ago I was frustrated when both my boys backpacks were ripping by Christmas when new in August. Since switching to Jansport I have only replaced 2 of the kids backpacks when they got older and needed more space. The older ones still have no holes or problems. I just bought a new one for my youngest in preschool. The backpacks have all held up after heavy use for several years and lots of washing. Choose your colors well because you won't need a new one for a long time! But they have great colors so you might "want" a new one, lol.
Hardwearing rucksack with enough room for a laptop and files and book. Water bottle holder has an extender so could stick a flask in there too. It is a basic rucksack but it is quality. These last for years and are almost entirely waterproof. Last one lasted twenty years. Vintage Jansport. Bought due to a viewing of Jurassic Park and my daughter wanted the same backpack as the boy!
