Even though the plant itself is fairly inexpensive, a lot of companies tend to take advantage of the niche of consumers buying this product by inflating the price; not Jarrow Formulas though. The fact that it’s an extract and not root powder also means you don’t need to dose it as high as you would with root powder ingredient Ashwagandha and that saves you money even more so. My husband and I have a lot of stress in our lives, we work a lot. When we feel that we are psychologically exhausted, we start the day with this capsule in the morning. A bite-size, easy-to-swallow capsule. We don't take it every day, maybe it would be more effective then. In fact, we did not experience the many positive effects we read about it. It is an adoptogen, which in principle helps to overcome stress. How effective is it? We can't really say.

I had tried a different brand of ashwagandha years ago and felt nothing. This time, it truly helped boost my mood from a low place I had been in for a long time. I started realizing I was feeling better and at that time the only thing I had changed was starting to take this. While I normally continue something that is working, researching about ashwagandha I see that it is a little controversial, with some purporting negative effects on continuous use and recommending to cycle it. I like another reviewer's idea of cycling it throughout the week and not taking it on weekends. In my case, after one bottle I am still doing pretty well, but I will keep this in mind if I start feeling worse and order this brand again when needed.
My mother let me have her Goli brand ashwagandha gummies since she hated the flavor. I immediately felt like my anxiety and depression werent as bad. The goli gummies are mad expensive so I bought these instead (when I ran out of goli). I did not feel the same effect.I didnt want to give these a terrible review just because they didnt work for me. Ashwaganda itself does work for me, but I guess only in extract form, not these powdered capsules. If these work for you theyre a great price. If they dont work, maybe try a product with extract instead of powdered plant matter.

I'm trying it out now for Hashimoto's and the jury is still out, but I do feel generally better since I started taking it. It's also a lot cheaper to use than other good tonic herbs like panax ginseng, or a quality mushroom extract. KSM 66 is batch tested and is only grown from organic Ashwagandha-so it's likely a much cleaner product than any of the whole Ashwagandha powders on the market-which are frequently contaminated with lead or other heavy metals. With an herb like this, I urge you to give it time to work-buy two bottles and try taking one cap twice per day for four months-some people report better results with a higher dosage, but most of the studies have been done at this dosage.
