I bought this recently. It seems to be typical JBL made. Quality speaker with great sound and Bluetooth worked flawlessly. However I was unaware this particular model has no way to tell the remaining battery charge or even if it's charging during charging. Evidently the gen 2 model does have a battery meter. In todays world and for this price I "assumed" it would have a way to see what charge is left. It's like driving a car with out a gas level display. Not sure If I'll keep or return. FYI

I bought this for my Christmas but I am already using. I am very happy with my purchase. It is very powerful and plays for many hours. I love listening to Gospel music and the word of God and this JBL Charge wireless is the best for sound quality, performance, and long hours of continuous play.I am very pleased , I bought myself a wonderful gift that is above and beyond good quality.

I got this speaker for my computer because I move a lot and got sick of wiring up my 250W speakers when I don't even use that much power.These speakers have good sound reproduction at 20W for the media I play on my computer, e.g. uni lectures, youtube, music. Purchased as an external speaker to laptop/projector to utilize for conferences and meetings. Connected to both the Epson projector as well as the HP Laptop via an Audio Cable 3.5 mini male-to-male. Prefer sound when connected to laptop and it will be a great enhancement to presentations and Videos for monthly meetings and periodic conferences. Recommend for anyone to use for meetings.
Great speaker lasts about 4 days at high volumes. Daily use work speaker, I’ve dropped it maybe a couple of times and it’s still perfect 👍🏾 the dust and water resistance is immaculate. It’s ran through wood dust, metal shavings, chemical spills and even colour bond paint which is very fine and easily ruins regular speakers. Also most importantly audio is clear as day. Good bass too
This company makes great products! I am a mailman and currently use the JBL Flip 4 for everyday use. I'm about to purchase the flip essential because I know how reliable it will be. Plus for the size of the speakers the bass is incredible, the charge always lasts a long time, and they are waterproof and durable. I've dropped mine several times and it works just fine LOL
Great product. Long battery life, easy to connect to phone. The bass is amazing. Most Bluetooth speakers this size does not have very good bass and the treble is over whelming. One thing I am concerned about is the durability. Only had the product for a couple weeks and it hasn’t been put to full use yet. It will be going on camping trips, carried in the SxS, and many other adventures…just concerned about how durable it will actually be. Only one way to find out.

You can find specifications and videos online of the charge 3, and to a lesser extent- the charge essential. I find it a big step up from my CS angle speaker, though to be fair the oontz was only half the wattage of this charge essential. I use it to listen to music as well as internet talk radio and I love the sound quality. It would have been nice if this package included the ac wall adapter, but it only includes the cable. The highs and lows in peaks and base for sure is phenomenal, I purchased at a sale price from $150 to $75 when they had it on sale bought two. Bluetooth, crazy I was able to cast music from 35 yards away. Battery does not last as long as they state (20 hours) though & it takes almost 4 hours to charge. The instructions say to try to plug it into charge once every 3 months you definitely need to do it sooner than that, I keep it on USB charging pretty much all the time when not in use from my laptop or electrical outlet plug in USB charger. This speaker works great for me. I use it at the pool, beach, shower, kitchen, almost anywhere. It pulls the b tooth from a long distance. I listen to it at different volume levels. The battery stays charged for a long time, it charges fast and has charging lites that tells you when to charge and when it fully charged. I like lit and bought it when it was on sale.
