Despite its small size, the sound quality is impressive, with clear audio and surprising bass. The speaker’s durability is outstanding—it's survived drops, water exposure, and outdoor conditions without issue. The waterproof design is especially useful, and the Bluetooth connectivity is smooth and reliable. The only drawback is the battery life, which has decreased over time. Initially, it lasted 8-10 hours, but after five plus years of use, it's down to about 4-5 hours. Still, it's a great product for its portability, sound, and longevity.

JBL Clip 3 is a nice little portable speaker to have that’s lightweight, loud and comes with a handy clip. They come in a variety of colors, mine is black, with a red logo. Their buttons are on the front, and can have the tendency to stick a bit for me. While it’s pretty loud, it’s not window shattering loud that some speakers are known for. This is still a good speaker to have for other events, when you want background music that’s just the right volume and comes in clear. I’ve never had any issues pairing my devices. Overall, I recommend this JBL Clip 3 as a speaker with the knowledge that you aren’t going to produce some earth shattering music.

I bought this speaker about 4 years ago and it's still going strong. This is including 2+ seasons tree planting where it was clipped to my bags and withstood many assaults from cold, rain, mud, and me falling. I take it everywhere. The sound quality and battery life is still amazing. If you're waffling, just buy it. The price is totally worth what you get. When this thing finally has it's last day I will not hesitate to get another.
The buttons on the later model are easier to access, especially one handed or while the speaker is hanging by its clip. The clip opening is narrower than expected and reduces its usefulness for. FYI it charges via micro usb. The battery life is okay, but just okay. Sound quality is fine for the type of product and price. I prefer the newer model for the reasons mentioned above. Still it’s a decent choice for the price.

For the pricepoint, and the quality of sound, this speaker is worth the power it packs. I travel a lot, and having a compact speaker that has a refined sound, even while outdoors (as I use it while snowboarding) is essential. The ease of connectivity, and the durability of the battery lifespan is what makes this product worth it. I am definitely going to be purchasing JBL’s in the future. I listen to a large range of music, from classical, to EDM, and R&B and the range of tones/octaves that this speaker projects is incredible. A must buy.
