I have this single 18" sub paired with QSC 12.2 and does a phenomenal job. Fills the empty space with good bass and does great at an outdoor venue. Planning to buy another so I don't overwork the single I have!
I have a DJ business and look for top quality equipment and sound. The JBL brand has the best sound. The only thing I found to be negative, no instructions on the use of the controls was included.
While these subs present well, they are severely overrated. We were looking to add medium grade low-end to our sound systems, by adding these Eons. After testing them in our warehouse, we were disappointed. Using them at modest volume ranges equals the clip lights triggering. In our experience, clipping aint a good thing and we are not sure how we can take them to a gig and run them without clipping them. I have this paired with the EON 712 set and it absolutely rocks my 24x30 garage. It performs excellent.
I use this at 500 seat venues. It totally rounded out the sound of my live band. The crowd was so much more into the show. Previously, we tried to get away with our Jbl 15" tops. This made all the difference.I sent a sub 6 mix from my XR18/XAir mixer. There's plenty of YouTube videos for this configuration.You have to get a special pole for this. M-20 speaker pole. I bought one on Amazon for around $50.
Used for private parties and outside events. Very deep and clear bass without sounding muddy.
