Pros: Good sound quality. The ANC plus PNC is really good. Makes the world a whole lot quieter and I can hear my music loud without annoying anyone else.Cons: The app isn't great. When you lift the ear it pauses which is a cool feature until it does it every time you turn your head. It's too sensitive, but you can turn it off in the app.The alexa feature is broken. You can't turn it off in the app. Every time I try to turn it on it refuses to restart the headphones, and when I do it manually it's turned back on. Which means every time you touch or lean on the left side it spills some nonsense about alexa not being connected to you're device and interrupts the music. 3/5Audio - 4/5. These headphones sound great with improved bass compared to the previous generation. The noise cancelling system is effective enough to listen to anything at mid level regardless of outside noiseQuality - 4/5. They feel durable all around.Cons - I’ve been using these for two weeks. Work and gym. For some reason they added a feature that makes the audio pause at random times for no reason. There’s also a subtle rattling noise from both sides when I take them for a run. If it wasn’t for these two things they would be a great purchase. Saw them for $200, then $150, and now for $100. I wouldn’t pay more than 100 because of the inconvenient features.

Don' trust the bad reviews, these are incredible.

I was going back & forth about getting a pair of these after reading a few bad reviews.Don't be fooled, regarding sound, these destroy the Sony XM3's/XM4's headphones by a huge mile. I've had them both and sold them both. I still own a pair of the XM4 earbuds, I'll probably sell them now too.Play with the EQ within the app & thank me later.NC is good enough even with normal passive sound being blocked by design.ANC is almost there but but the Sony's take the cake.I'm buying headphones for sound as the main priority not for ANC, people get stuck in the features. The clean Bass that these cans are capable of is amazing. JBL always comes with the goods, I should have trusted that from the start.10/10

Excels in several ways. Room for improvement.
9 April 2022

There are several things to love about these headphones, but there is some room for improvement. They have a ton of features that make your listening experience more convenient like pausing what your listening to automatically when you remove them, settings for noise cancellation and ambient listening so you can hear your surroundings. Both of these modes work very well. I recommend downloading the app for a visual reference of the setting that are selected. Once you learn the noise cues for these settings, you won't need the app anymore. Of course loud, sudden noises won't be cancelled, but because they are also very comfortable, I am able to wear them while I sleep while others are watching TV. They are able to connect to multiple devices simultaneously, but I've noticed that this will cause the audio to occasionally cut out which is a bit annoying. The built-in voice assistant (I use Alexa) can also be finicky. There could be a learning curve that I'm still getting over, but my commands don't always seem to register when using the Alexa. The sound quality is good but not incredible. If you're main focus is sound quality, you won't want Bluetooth headphones anyway.

Good but not Great
27 November 2022

For years I have used different JBL products which have some solid models. I let my son have the JBL Everest 700 headphones I used for quite some time. I figured I would be able to find a new pair easily that would have great quality and audio. Audio is very subjective to each person but for me these had just good quality through Highs, Mids, and okay Lows. I prefer balanced headphones and not the over marketed bass boosted headphones, to which even these could have had a little more oomph. Quick summary would be excellent build quality, audio felt like they had a great sound and put a filter on it to make it just good. I returned them but I am very picky. I would recommend these when they go on sale but not at the retail price.

Good sound rather odd noise cancelling
7 October 2022

I couldn't justify getting top of the range noise-cancelling headphones but I had used JBL phones before and knew that the sound was likely to be very good. It is, and with a bit of tweaking the levels on the app it can suit the types of music I listen to.The noise cancelling is nearly always good enough - on a bus or train for example it reduces the background noise very well, but not completely. I'm ok with that - I like to have some awareness of what's going on. What's odd, though, is that the cancelling seems directional. If I'm standing in a busy street I can change the amount of reduction by turning my head. I suppose that must be because of the way the nc microphones are placed. Not a big problem but if you're after perfection you have to pay more, it seems.

I’ve had these for a bit over a year now and they are still working greatPros-the headphones don’t hurt my ears even when I wear them for long periods of time-noise canceling is very effective sometimes too effective so I don’t hear my family knocking on my door-great sound quality-extremely fast charging, I can charge them for like five minutes and be able to wear them for another 45 minutes before they die again-I almost never have to charge them the battery lasts a long time, I often go weeks without charging them-the different modes are extremely usefulCons-the plastic is cracked in a few places but that may be might fault for throwing them around a bit but they are still fully functional and look like they will be for many more years-the ... MoreI’ve had these for a bit over a year now and they are still working greatPros-the headphones don’t hurt my ears even when I wear them for long periods of time-noise canceling is very effective sometimes too effective so I don’t hear my family knocking on my door-great sound quality-extremely fast charging, I can charge them for like five minutes and be able to wear them for another 45 minutes before they die again-I almost never have to charge them the battery lasts a long time, I often go weeks without charging them-the different modes are extremely usefulCons-the plastic is cracked in a few places but that may be might fault for throwing them around a bit but they are still fully functional and look like they will be for many more years-the sound is not loud enough, I usually have the headphones almost if not on max-after about half way people can hear your music while you wear them-there is an annoying blue light on the front of the right side that I had to tape over as I often listen to music in the dark and it annoyed me so much (there is also a light on the back which you can’t tape over but it isn’t as annoying)-the woven band that sits on top of my head ended up picking up my hairs so there is now hair in the band which I am unable to get out-the headphones do not fold up very tight at all so if you plan to keep them in your bag they will take up lots of spaceOverall the headphones are amazing and definitely worth the money.

Great headphones

These headphones sound absolutly fantastic. The app EQ is very effective and makes them versatile. The bass is deep and rich while being super tight. One thing to know is that they tend to be bass heavy out of the box.I boosted the mids a bit to make the voice clearer and the sound is now perfectly balanced for me. I came from beats solo 3 and let me tell you the sound quality is not even comparable. I would rate the sound a 4.5/5.That said, there a 2 cons that i found on these cans. The clamping force is a bit tight for big heads. It doesn't make them uncomfortable by any means, but it certainly is noticeable. Second, the ANC works just OK. It blocks around 75% of the sound but you can still hear what is going on around you.Overall, these are well worth it and ... MoreThese headphones sound absolutly fantastic. Great sound quality, love that if they are dead I can just plug them into my audio interface and they work with no issue. If i had to gripe about anything i guess maybe my ears are like just slightly to big so maybe after 2-3 hours It becomes annoying to my ears and i take them off. But im a big guy so its sorta my issue. I love that they have type c charging. If your looking for super high end these are not for you but if your looking for a great experience, a fully customizable EQ in the app, google connectivity, and at a price that wont break the bank these really are top tear. Love they came with a carrying bag, and from switching from sony headphones the bass is so much more balanced. Nice overall headphones

Going for each category:Durability 4/5Metal hinges, overall nice and durable plastic. It also seems never gets dirty, and survived a few stumbles and trips to the floor without scratches. After a year, while going to a walk, and using it on my office, the cushions started to worn off. You're supposed to swap them after some time, it's expected after one year of constant use. It's not a workout headphone, but it endured some sweat on hot days, and a few hours of skateboarding. As long as you don't work out with it constantly, it will be OK.If the cushions were either: a bit more resistent and the same price, or replacements were cheaper, it'd be a perfect 5/5Sound quality 3/5The sound is nice and thight when needed, but it's NOT a neutral headphone. As long as you don't work out with it constantly, it will be OK.If the cushions were either: a bit more resistent and the same price, or replacements were cheaper, it'd be a perfect 5/5Sound quality 3/5The sound is nice and thight when needed, but it's NOT a neutral headphone. It DO has quite some bass. I like a lot of bassy music so it's nice for me, but the bass hides a little of the higher pitch sounds (example: a rock/metal song, with the drums and guitars over the symbals. you can hear it, bit it's a bit, muffled). It's a everyday day-to-day headphones, so it's nice for movies, series, etc. NOT an audiophile headphones. Sound is not neutral (which for most people is a good thing), and it has no sound stage, but it's expected due to it being close back and has noise cancelling.Tech and gimmics 3/5It's ok and usefullYou can use it on cable, which is REALLY usefull and spares battery, reduces time response and overall quality, but you can't use bluetooth and charge it at the same time. the moment it charges, it gets turned off, and using it with the cable while charging sometimes has static sounds. it's not optimzed for charging and using at the same time. it also has a REALLY ANNOYING PROBLEM: whenever I plug the headphone jack in, it fits in ok, but when going back to bluetooth, it makes sounds from only ONE of the speakers, either left or right. you can fix it by pluging the headphone jack back in and turning the bluetooth on, THEN pulling it off after turning it on (I know you're thingking something dirty. get your mind off the guter). It's really annoying, and happens ALL THE TIME.Voice assisstents work fine, but it's kind of annoying to use. Sometimes you just want to fix the position on your head, and suddenly alexa or google turns on, and stops your music due to it being touch sensitive. The bluetooth microfone is not that good (which is expected from a wireless headphone), but the cable that comes with has an ok microfoneNoice cancelling is nice, and makes you feel like in a acoustic room, but it's not the best on windy places. it's not a workout headphone, so you're not supposed to use it on windy places, but it's noticable while going for a walk. it's a common issue on most active noise cancelling headphones. you're not supposed to hit the gym with these, but it's still noticable.Price 4/5It's nice for it's price. nice quality and nice sound with some quality of life features. if it wasn't for the problems mentioned it'd be a 5/5. The few hardware issues it has make it a bit annoying, but it's so durable and nicely built, it's worth itConfort 5/5I never sleep with headphones on, but this one is so comfy, it makes me sleepy sometimes. it's not very breatable, and it gets hot quickly, but the fabric is so soft, you keep them on your head just for how they feel. the most confortable headphone i've ever had. even after one year of constant everyday use, it's super confortabe
