Bought to replace my Peavey 215D powered speakers. Pleasantly happy with the upgrade. Smaller lightweight setup. Hard outer shell instead of carpet leaves a clean look. Lots of extras well worth the price!

A great speaker! Has amazing spl! Would recommend them completely! Our band has two and plans to buy two more of these amazing speakers! They are small in size but amazing sound!
I have to say I never thought I would come back to JBL after my bad experience the JbL PRX 735s. Built very cheaply, rattling and buzzing cabinets. IT is still early in the game with these PRX 835s but so far they seem more solid and it looks like they fixed the fan issue which was the biggest culprit in the 735s for rattling. They sound amazing and get super loud with crystal clear sound. I had the QSC 153 but needed to make a change because my band loss the use of a trailer and the QSC's are too tall to stand up in my van. These fit perfectly and for warmth actually beat the QSCs if you can believe that. They are louder too. Very happy and great service as usual from my rep Walter at the Fairax VA store !
It’s clean it’s not that heavy the connection options are great so u can extend to far reaches to another room or floor of the event to provide sound. And American Musical Supply and their product Knowledge makes it an easier choice.
Overall:I’ve always enjoyed JBL products. And I’ve always loved the powered line of products. These sound great! But for some reason they seem to peak a little too soon. The gain structure somehow seems a lil harsh on the high end, with or without the boost. But overall not a bad product. I’m happy with my purchases (bought 4 of them) but only wish it didn’t clip the high end so easily.
Honestly my friend has the Prx625 model with the crown amps and I was really looking for the same until these bad boy's arrived! not only do they sound better IMO but are everything you need to rock a party indoor or out.. The sound is clean and Crisp the bass is extraordinary and I haven't truly had the opportunity to blast them them yet but I'm looking forward to pumping them up at my next Jam!.. They are well built and are worth what you pay for them I highly recommend these speakers to any and everyone that are looking trust me you wont find a better pair and of course its JBL so you know its a trusted Brand...
Once again, there is no disappointment! JBL continues to lead the way with incredible sound. AMS proves again to be amazing. One more speaker purchase and no venue is to big.
Great Speaker, I have used a pair for spoken voice and ambient music in a 500 people hotel conference room, multiple weddings with bands, I must say I would prefer to use it 2 per side in such situation or maybe have a more powerful system, but is a versatile box, very powerful, don't expect long throw but it will handle even open air fairs in the near field of it with voice and recorded music.Maybe not the best form factor for corporate but its powerful enough to handle most events.
