It is the first time that I use a double earphone. It is interesting that you have the possibility to use only one side (mono) instead of both (stereo).I mainly used it when I was riding the bicycle, going to work or taking my son to school...sometimes even going for a relax ride. The earphone behaved well with my sweat (it is pretty warm nowadays), and it was easy to clean...it didn't affect the sound quality...and boy, what a sound quality...the ambience awareness mode is very interesting. The case (which also recharge the earphones) is sturdy and made with good quality material, it has an USB-C port to be recharged as well.It is wonderful that there is an integration with Google Assistant, and you can read/write SMS and Whatsapp messages, and also trigger some ... Example of commands are the standard (volume up/down, next/previous song, etc...) but also switch between modes (ambient awareness, noise canceling, etc.) and Google Assistant. The how-to start those commands are easily available in the small but instructive quick guide. The earphone case is flat on the back, but not on the bottom, so you cannot let it standing up. I found it annoying. It also has a magnet to secure the earphone to its place inside the case, unfortunately the experience of removing and inserting the earphone is not optimal. The part of the earphone that you have available to pull out ot the case is slippery and small. During the night and sleepy or while in low lighting it can be challenging to stick the earphones inside the case, it has a very particular position to be inserted.Another issue that I faced which was quite frustrating, was that one day I wanted to ride for a long path my bike and I took the earphones and put them into my pocket. Once I reached the start of the path I wanted to use the earphones, but for my surprise I couldn't connect to my Android phone. The earphone was full on battery, the smartphone as well, bluetooth was enabled. I unfortunatelly could not pair it as well, as it seemed that the earphone was totally shut off, no pairing mode available. There was no way to "turn it on" or to reset it...The only solution was to return to home and put them into the case, which after seconds was available again to connect and to pair.I had just a few annoying experiences, but the overall I'm very positive about my experience with this earphone.

Overall, this is a great set of earbuds, and I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable fit and mostly great sound, but with a couple of caveats.First, these are a really comfortable fit. I usually struggle with more traditional earbud styles staying in my ears, and having the smaller inner ear piece with the longer stem really seems to help balance these in my ears so they feel more secure since gravity is working with them a little better. They were comfortable and stayed in well regardless of which ear tips I used, but I ultimately found they were most comfortable and had the best noise cancellation if I used the largest tips, which is unusual for me (I’m usually using the smallest size or medium at most). The noise cancellation depends a lot on ... They were comfortable and stayed in well regardless of which ear tips I used, but I ultimately found they were most comfortable and had the best noise cancellation if I used the largest tips, which is unusual for me (I’m usually using the smallest size or medium at most). The noise cancellation depends a lot on having the right ear tip fit, but even with the best fitting tips, the noise cancelling was just ok. It blocked a lot of noise, but definitely not all noise—better than earbuds without active noise cancelling, but not the best noise cancellation on the market by a long shot. The sound quality depends on how you set the equalizer. When I emphasized the midtones (the Voice setting), music sounded a bit tinny… but when I had more balanced settings or a setting that emphasized other ranges, the sound quality was quite impressive. Whereas I have sometimes wanted to switch equalizer settings depending on what I was listening to with other JBL products, with these, I have pretty much kept everything on the Jazz setting since that seems to maximize the overall sound quality for most music.I really like having the touch controls on these earbuds (start/stop on the right, changing noise cancelling/active aware/talk through on the right), though my husband hates that feature. This is really a personal preference, but something that I like. The form factor for both the earbuds and the case are really nice. The case has a really long life on a single charge, especially for the size. I just wish it has a little loop built in so that I could attach it to a keychain to keep it securely with me all the time.
The pros:• The sound quality for these earbuds is impressive, especially considering their form factor. The overall range is what I would expect for much larger devices (such as over the ear headphones), as well as the warmth and tone of sound. The mic is pretty good too—people I called said that the sound was clear and not an issue at all.• The app adds a lot of additional features, and my favorite is the equalizer. Once the app is installed, you can choose from among several pre-set equalizer modes (jazz, vocal, bass, club, studio, or extreme bass) or can create your own custom settings. Depending on what type of music I’m listening to (or whether it’s an audiobook, phone call, or video conference), I find myself adjusting the equalizer to enhance the sound… and ... Depending on what type of music I’m listening to (or whether it’s an audiobook, phone call, or video conference), I find myself adjusting the equalizer to enhance the sound… and love that I can clearly distinguish the differences and that the visuals help me better understand what I’m adjusting and why it’s making a difference.• I have small ears and usually struggle with earbuds like these, but this set is super lightweight and comfortable and stays in pretty well. I can leave these in for a couple of hours while walking around without having to constantly adjust them back into place, which is a huge plus, but I doubt they’d stay in if I was heading out for a run or anything that would bumps them out.• The active noise cancelling is fine, but not amazing. There’s a clear difference between ANC, ambient aware, and talk through. The ANC blocks most noise, but not everything—maybe 80% effectiveness or so. It’s better than you can generally find with this type of earbud, so I don’t think this is unreasonable at all… and I probably need to test out different eartips for a while to see if that helps.• I love that the app allows you to decide what gestures on each earbud control. I also appreciate that there’s a max volume limiter to help protect your hearing… something I’m Increasingly thinking about. The cons:• I wish the case and a little loop or something that would make it easy to use a mini carabiner to attach it to a keychain to make it easy to carry all of the time. I know I could buy a silicone cover with a carabiner, but I wish it were possible to just attach a mini carabiner to the original case since it seems plenty sturdy without additional protection.• The first time I used these for a phone call, it’s almost as if the earbuds were slightly out of sync. I could still engage in the conversation just fine, but the slight delay was a bit distracting. I’m hoping this was just a first-use fluke since it hasn’t been a problem since then (after 3 days of use with several hours each day).

Be sure to download the JBL Headphones app to toggle between these audio settings when using different kinds. The open ear tips are on the product when the box is opened (they don't even appear to be removable unless viewed closely). These are best used to hear external sounds, and were dynamite while riding a bike, taking a walk, or doing chores while on the phone. The other tips are sealing which deliver a significant boost in base and sound quality. In addition to the sound quality, the battery (8hrs unit + 24hrs case) lived up to expectations and didn't need to be charged once during a full weekend of hiking. Charge time was relatively quick to both the earbuds via case and to the case with the included USB-C cable. These were comfortable in a variety of uses, and truly were able to be "forgotten" in the ears for long periods of time, unlike many other earbuds which can cause soreness or a dull ache after long periods of wear.Overall, the Tune Flex buds did a fantastic job balancing everyday features at a competitive price point, all while delivering the quality JBL sound - would highly recommend.
The JBL Tune 130NC Series are by far one of the best pairs of wireless headphones I have owned in a long time. The charging case is sleek and completely unique from the standard Bluetooth bud case shape, same for the buds themselves. The battery life is phenomenal for both the buds and the case, I only have to charge my case about once or twice a week. I'd say more often twice a week., Keep in mind I always have at least a single bud inI mean that on a literal level. If I'm awake, music is on. The battery life is phenomenal for both the buds and the case, I only have to charge my case about once or twice a week. I'd say more often twice a week., Keep in mind I always have at least a single bud inI mean that on a literal level. If I'm awake, music is on. I'm a person that goes through multiple sets of headphones every 3 months or so. I lose a lot of things. So, I find it extremely helpful and just downright awesome that the 130NC series has a downloadable app, inside that app if you press a button the headphones make a high pitched screeching beep so that you can locate them. That's why this is one of the pairs of headphones I've held onto the longest. The downloadable app comes with a lot more settings as well. One of the settings that blows the competition out of the water is how uou can switch your headphones from ambient aware to noise cancelling, then from noise cancellation to something called talk thru mode so you can have a conversation whilst still bumping your tunes. There are other brands that have attempted to duplicate this, but I have not utilized a pair of headphones to this day that have more functionality to these specific settings than a pair of JBLs. Now, let's move onto the immediately noticable and most apparent functionality of the JBL app; the EQ. JBL's EQ customization is top notch. The EQ has various pre-set options that you can put it on as well as a customizable EQ setting. If you purchase these headphones, you should try them in their standard out of the package mode before downloading the app and setting up your preferred EQ options. You'll notice that a pair of JBL headphones on their own without any sort of EQ already sound absolutely gorgeous. The bass is bumpin', the treble is clear and crisp. The EQ generously provided by the JBL app just gives most modern JBL headphones that extra edge to blow away the competition, who all have played follow the leader and made their own attempts. Unfortunately, they've all fallen behind the innovation of JBL. I've only noticed three things that bothered me when using these phenomenal buds. The first thing that I had an issue with was the inability to change the EQ settings when only using a single bud, to utilize the EQ you are required to have both buds out of the case and hooked up to your Bluetooth. Sometimes this can be inconvenient when attempting to quickly go from noise cancellation to talk thru mode, because JBLs are pretty loud even with the volume turned down, so I still have trouble hearing with even a single headphone in. The second issue I found with the headphones is the inability to have them make their beeping locator sound if they aren't connected to your phone in that moment. I don't know about y'all, but I am notorious about not putting my buds in the case. Occasionally, this causes the buds to auto power off and I forget where I put them...This leads to a 30 minute session of tracking down an object the size of a dime. That entire time I'm questioning how one would make them traceable with them powered off. Finally, sometimes the JBL app has a slight lag to it. This leads to restarting the application a few times. Other than these 3 issues, which to many of you may not be an issue at all, these are well worth the $50 I spent on them and I can assure they will be for you as well. I've bought more expensive headphones that don't compare to these.

From the moment I started using them, it became apparent that these earbuds were plagued with numerous defects.First and foremost, the sound quality of the JBL Tune 130NC earbuds is underwhelming. The bass is weak and lacks depth, while the overall audio output feels muffled and lacks clarity. Whether I was listening to music, watching videos, or taking calls, the audio quality simply did not meet my expectations. Considering that JBL is known for its audio expertise, this was a major letdown. The build quality of the earbuds is another area of concern. Despite being advertised as noise-canceling earbuds, the passive noise isolation provided by the ear tips is ineffective at best. External sounds easily seep into the listening experience, which defeats the purpose of noise-canceling technology. Moreover, the earbuds themselves feel flimsy and fragile. I found that they did not fit securely in my ears and often slipped out, making them uncomfortable to wear for extended periods. One of the most frustrating issues with these earbuds is the poor battery life. JBL claims a battery life of up to 10 hours, but I consistently found myself needing to recharge them after just a few hours of use. This was incredibly inconvenient, especially during long commutes or while traveling. To make matters worse, the Bluetooth connectivity of the JBL Tune 130NC earbuds is highly unreliable. I experienced frequent drops in connection, leading to interrupted audio playback and frustrating user experience. It was incredibly frustrating to have to constantly reconnect the earbuds to my device, which took away from the convenience I expected from wireless earbuds.Lastly, the customer support I received from JBL regarding these defective earbuds was subpar. The company was slow to respond to my inquiries, and when they did, their solutions were unsatisfactory. It felt as though they were not genuinely interested in resolving the issues I faced.Overall, my experience with the JBL Tune 130NC earbuds has been a letdown. The subpar audio quality, poor build, short battery life, unreliable Bluetooth connectivity, and lackluster customer support have all contributed to a frustrating user experience. I cannot recommend these earbuds to anyone seeking a reliable and enjoyable audio experience. It is advisable to explore other alternatives available on the market.
In all honesty, despite decent sound quality when you finally manage to connect these, these are on par with any other $5 Bluetooth headphones from the dollar store. Its should be illegal to sell these for $100 let alone advertise all the bogus features it has like "noise cancelation" which is doesn't actually have. The amount of problems these things have for the price tag is ridiculous. Despite no damage or misuse, one earpod will always disconnect or refuse to pair, or somehow pair as a separate device seperate from the other earpod (how is that even a thing), headphones always making random annoying noises every few minutes while in use despite full battery, audio randomly cuts off all the time and resumes, charging these things can be a nightmare with the cheap ... On top of this, most of time it will charge for only like 30 seconds when plugged in then stop charging unless you unplug it and plug it back in (really like how?) Oh and the most annoying thing, anytime you plug these these things in to charge, you literally have to jump start the headphones to get them to turn on again. By this, I mean that anytime you plug them in to charge, you cannot reconnect to them via Bluetooth unless the USB charger is plugged in while you're pairing them despite them having full charge already. If you charge them, take the charger out, then try to pair, the headphones will not even turn on when you open the case unless the charger is plugged in, even if you clearly just charged it to 100%. These things legitimately have a mind and personality of their own. Somedays they can be semi-normal, other days they will cycle through every problem i just mentioned. Yes, this happened all straight out of the box. JBL, your company should be ashamed to be selling such garbage, ill never buy a product from this mediocre company again. I knew I should've taken the same amount of money and just bought apple earpods instead which would have actually worked like regular Bluetooth headphones and lasted years, unlike this garbage. These things are good for if you feel like solving a puzzle everytime you want to listen to music, bc thats what these will feel like. Funniest part is everything I said has been said by others in reviews prior to me buying these. I wish I read reviews on these before buying. How these have over two stars for reviews is proof that these childish companies fake their reviews instead of making solid products. Big L, on this product and your company image JBL, ill personally never waste a single calorie of energy even making eye contact with a jbl product ever again. As soon as I buy actual functioning Bluetooth headphones I'm going to stomp on these until I feel like I got a $100 workout from a personal fitness trainer so I can atleast feel like I got some moneys worth out of it.
