I definitely wouldn't wear it if I felt a migraine coming on as strong scents can make them worse. If the price doesn't deter you and you're looking for a long-lasting scent with floral, musky, and salty notes, then this is a perfect match. The bottle is what makes this product so special; the curves of the woman are a symbol of embracing femininity. It's not just a naked body design; it honours bodies of all shapes and sizes. Femininity enables women to have the power to be themselves freely!

And this perfume is how the men sees the woman: very sweet and sexy, with a touch of elegance uniqueness - given by the salty undertone. It doesn't exactly give me the idea of a confident daring woman as Gaultier describes it. Personally, I'm not a big fan of floral perfumes. I think this perfume is the summer equivalent of the spring-evoking J'adore by Dior, so if you like J'adore, you will also like Divine. Something that I also don't like is the packaging: the look of it is quite tacky and it doesn't fit the fragrance. Opening the box is not the easiest thing as I always worry that it's going to "pop" and make the bottle fall. All in all, it's not my thing and I find it too sweet and strong, without the depth and complexity of my other perfumes. But it is still a great perfume for someone who wants something flirty and fresh. Disclaimer: I have received this perfume from Influenster/Gaultier in exchange for my honest review.

The price point, of course,is always on the high end no matter the size since you are paying for a designer name, whether opting for the smaller 1 oz bottle (about $90 US dollars) or the 1.7 oz (expect to pay a starting point of $120 US avg). Normally, I would be inclined to take a star for price point if something is outrageous, but this is one time I just can't do it because it's such a heavenly scent and lasts about 5 hours on me that I'm not even mad about it. It's honestly THAT divine!

Airy floral freshness without being too sweet
26 May 2024

First off I have to say how iconic the JPG bottles are, I remember seeing them in highschool and thinking it was so luxe and unique so this fragrance bottle was no exception. As with many JPG,I expected a sweet fragrance and this Divine fragrance has that signature sweet scent, except it smells grown up. Its not overly sweet as it has a beautiful floral scent as well. I find the fragrance to be quite strong so I don't ever need/want to use more than one spritz. On me, I feel like the sweetness doesn't linger too long and it fades into a sort of airy fresh floral scent. This would definitely be a summer fragrance for me because if the freshness of the florals. Did JPH design this for older millenials? Haha. Overall this is a nice fragrance but not something I will likely purchase on my own because I don't typically seek out sweet florals, but for someone who's looking for a summer scent, do check this out!I got this as a gift from Influenster

I usually spritz in the "father ,son and holy ghost, cross, pits, wrists, etc. to ensure I smell fantastic. Anyways from the compliments I can tell that A) general population likes the way I smell and frankly asks what the scent is. And B) surely it has staying power if it is noticed through out the day.Give this a try, you won't be disappointed!

Beautiful Floral yet Fresh Scent

I was sent this by Influenster to share my honest review:I’m very picky about perfumes and only like subtle delicate floral or fresh/citrus notes so every time I order samples of perfumes to try, I’m disappointed like 90% of the time.I honestly didn’t have very high hopes for this because the packaging is so edgy and bold! I thought the fragrance would be a little edgy too. It’s definitely bold but only in its intensity of the specific notes. I was really pleasantly surprised!I loved the outside packaging at first, but beware, I nearly dropped it twice because you really have to tug at the cylinder base to get it out. So it’s not my favourite in the end. I dropped 1 star because I smell this slightly powdery note at the end and it’s one of the smells I really dislike for perfumes. My husband is in love with this smell on me and so I will keep wearing it! It’s also growing on me, I would just wear a small amount as it’s a strong scent!

Comforting & happy it surprised me

I received this sample from Influenster and Jean Paul Gaultier in exchange for my honest review. For me it was a bit overbearing at first. I sprayed it on the card and immediately thought I wasn’t going to like it. But decided to spray it on my skin. I’m really glad I did. It changed quite dramatically and no longer felt like to much. It morphed into a very subtle sent. I’ve gone back and forth so many times smelling the card and smelling my arm its really nice on the skin . It’s a bit different from what I would normally pick for myself but I think, I really like it. It’s a happy sent that feels refreshing, relaxing, comforting . It doesn’t seem to stay strong for very long. I think it would be nice to get to try it a little more before committing to a whole bottle. But the more I hangout with it the more I like it. It would be nice if it had a little bit more staying power in the middle range. Once it starts to fade you wouldn’t really smell it unless you were right up to spot you sprayed it on. That being said my best friend is extremely sensitive to smells and she didn’t even notice I had anything on about 6 hours after I had sprayed it.

It's a love hate relationship

This fragrance is delightful and difficult at times for me to enjoy. I have never experienced such a scent that evokes such strong polarity in my senses. The notes of lily are divine, but then there is something I cannot quite put my finger on that has a powdery, yet too sweet punch that my nose does not agree with. Certain times of the day I love the scent, and at other times that particular powdery sweet punch knocks me out. I received a free trial size in exchange for this review, so I can't speak to the design of the bottle or the packaging; I am left to base it on a small amount that I have attempted to wear during the hottest part of summer. It is definitely a scent you want to put on your skin and wear for a bit before making the decision whether to purchase a large bottle. The formula, like most higher end perfumes, changes depending on your personal ph or however that works. I will be trying this again once the leaves change, and begin to fall. For now it is a good, but not great option for myself; perhaps it will be your favorite.

Meringue Pie and Sea Salt
6 August 2024

Jean Paul Gaultier Divine: a flavorful meringue pie with a dash of coarse sea salt sprinkled on top. It's like an aquatic gourmand. Beautifully sweet vanilla, candied berry opening that transitions pretty quickly to a marine accord with hints of floral notes. I will say the dry down leans a bit eggy on my skin which I attribute to the meringue. I definitely prefer to apply this on clothing so I can truly appreciate a balanced version of the fragrance. Projection and sillage are moderate but buildable, in my opinion, depending on how many sprays you apply. The bottle in the image is a beautiful glass with gold accents in the shape of the feminine form, which is fitting for a feminine perfume. Not long lasting; unknown cruelty-free status
9 October 2024

Jean Paul Gaultier’s Divine Le Parfum is a sophisticated scent that is both floral yet gourmand. It’s a lovely fragrance for transitioning into the fall season, and I did receive a compliment from someone while wearing it. However, I didn’t find it to be particularly long-lasting as it faded after a couple of hours, so be prepared to reapply throughout the day.I tried to find out whether this fragrance was cruelty-free, and while some smaller articles from unfamiliar sources mentioned that it was vegan and cruelty-free, there was no mention of being vegan or cruelty-free on Gaultier’s official website, which I think would be a selling point that they’d mention if true.
