I wish this wasn’t discontinued as it is such a beautiful and high quality scent from JPG. To be honest I smells nothing like the original Le make which isn’t a bad thing. I get a fresh leather when smelling but yet this doesn’t feel to difficult to wear and remains an easy reach somehow. Longevity is also good and others can smell for the first hour or so. Overall this is a beautiful high quality scent.

The blend with both of these additional notes leads for me to detect a makeshift dry and dense cherry note. Although my bottle is a silver head, I can assume that the (g)older batches are probably even DENSER and RICHER in smell.

From the Jean Paul Gaultier family of mens perfumes , i can.say that this particular one is my top favourite. Love the combination of lavander and leather note's that add the touch of masculinity on it, this being settled by the citrus fresh notes. Coms with a very long sealege that makes it perfect for a night out . Definitely very attractive and sensual, very appealing in a pleasent way . I would like to mention the unique shape of the bottle , following the classic design, but adding the new distinctive touch.

I haven’t tried a Jean Paul Gaultier product I hadn’t loved. The bottles are magnificent, the scents are usually fresh or sensual and always have an incredible dry down. Some of them can be a bit mass appealing, but some of them are so unique and delicious.

Absolute top tier from the Le Male line. This is grail status ! A beautiful leather note that’s softened by the vanilla , Tonka and cinnamon notes. This gem leaves a beautiful soft scent trail that’ll have everyone asking where they can get this. Unfortunately it’s a bit difficult to find but well worth the effort to find. This is a unique DNA that’s a must have in everyone’s rotation.

My favorite Le Male!

Decided to grab this one as it's now been reformulated. They even changed the colour of the juice from purple to blue and they changed the colour of the can from copper to silver. Found this original one at Maximum Fragrance. I've always liked this flanker just haven't gotten around to grabbing till now. This is a gorgeous fragrance. A mature version to the original IMO. In the opening I get that blast of cardamom which is pretty much the dominant note. I do get some pepper but it's not very strong. As it starts to dry down the leather and lavender starts to become noticeable with the cardamom still taking the lead. Don't get much cinnamon and sage. I'm a female, and thus my review is from a secondhand perspective. I don't often take note of men's colognes, or, if I do, it's generally not for the most positive of reasons... So, for me to respond so enthusiastically to a male fragrance is rare. I'm hoping this review may be of use to any guys out there "on the fence" about buying it - and want to hear a girl's take on it OR to any fellow women out there contemplating what scent to buy for the object of their affections as a gift.I got this for my husband a few years ago at Duty Free while we were on a layover. As in, "I want to rip your clothes off...NOW!" And, if I can't at the moment, due to circumstances beyond control? It leaves me in such a deliciously frustrated state of repressed agony which ALWAYS "pays off" for us later, if you catch my drift... ;)My guy never wore cologne before. He's very no frills/meat & potatoes. He's just a simple guy. But, I'll say this much - he surwears it now...And, he truly DOES actually enjoy the scent, too.SIDENOTE: We've been separated for 9 months, due to quarantine (We're an international couple. He went home a week before COVID hit, and fate has worked against us at every turn. I miss him + his scent SO badly that I'm actually going to buy a mini bottle of this just to feel closer to him. When we were still dating, he sent me an old t-shirt he used to sleep in (I did the same for him) bc we were long distance then. Still the BEST present I've ever received, and this was "pre-JPG". I obviously love his pheromones/scent, but THIS combined? *SWOON!*
