Carelessness by the manufactuer has resulted in the board being incorrectly set (a black square appears in the bottom right corner rather than a white square. Otherwise, very well made. The drawers for the playing pieces are ideal. The playing pieces are of a convenient size.

To be honest, 1 star is actually pretty generous. The top looks very nice but it's actually almost the only part of the set that is made of solid timber. The entire bottom panel is made of layered board and when mine came every corner was completely turned up. This was not due to shipping as the box was entirely intact. The drawers are hard to open and close due to a small screw on the bottom of each and this leaves run marks on the bottom. The drawer handles I received are not as pictured. The chess pieces themselves are actually quiet small and unpolished. They look very rough. The dimensions are good but that's probably the only nice thing I can say about this. Oh and it was delivered quickly.

Beautiful set, however misleading/ inaccurate images on MyDeal. The images shown on MyDeal aren’t exactly what we received. I recommend purchasing directly from the Jenjo Games website.

A chess & Check Board Set that will last for years

I bought this Chess set for my grandson who turns 12 this week. He has been teaching himself to play chess via the I Pad and I wanted him to have a proper chess board so that he can play with family and friends when they come over to visit. He loved this Cheesham Chess and Checkers Board set. I also think it was good value for the price. I am looking forward to learning to play chess with him myself

A lasting gift

A lovely piece that we purchased online. Unfortunately our grandson was turning ten and we wanted the perfect present. It was not really well finished. Myer were amazing when we returned it. They couldn't have been more obliging. Made for a happy Brisbane shopping experience for someone from the "bush".

Beautiful chest board.

Beautiful piece, great quality looks amazing on the coffee table. We play it a lot, storage is great looks after the pieces so well. Absolutely love this chest board.

Classy Chess Board

This board is the perfect size in every way. To play on, to sit on the dining table and to peruse. What a beautiful Chess board. Very classy, yet very affordable!

Great wooden chess board you can leave on display!

Great solid wooden chess board that looks great left on display. Very affordable - could not find a similar one in this price range. Only downside was not available in store so could not view before buying. Would buy again - awesome present!

Presentation well below par

I bought the wooden chess set. Very disappointed with the presentation. You can visibly see where they have glued the board together. The draws donot slide back into place. It’s very obvious there isno quality control.

Sheesham chess and checkers set

Very disappointed in this chess set. One of the pieces has a hole in it, some have a lump under them, so doesn't sit flat. Also some of the checker pieces are not great. The whole thing is just a bit shabby, also it didn't come in a box, which I found strange. I would like a refund please but not sure how to go about it. Can you please let me know.
