Wow - what a big difference from our ancient two burner propane stove. The Jetboil single burner is so efficient, we didn’t even finish one propane tank on our recent 5 day trip - using it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The design reflects the heat up to the pot and the wind deflector helps keep the burner direction on target. It easily comes apart to clean the drip tray and it wiped clean. Nice compact design. The fry pan was amazingly no-stick. I fried up some Brie cheese and it slid right out. I was also super excited that the lid from the 3.5 litre pot I had just bought fit the frypan, too. I am ONE HAPPY CAMPER!

No question, this stove is hands down amazing. It is definitely not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and the design and engineering of this stove is absolutely top-notch. It's beautifully designed and it's also one of the most compact propane camp stoves on the market, so small it even fits in its own saucepan. Comparing this to a traditional Coleman stove is like comparing an iPhone 11 Pro to one of those old briefcase phones people used to carry around in the 80s. If you are in the market for a single burner stove then you will not regret spending the money, or Jetboil Genesis stove offers a twin burner based on the same platform. Also, Moosejaw's customer service and sense of humor are awesome!

This was a fantastic product. After much research and for our camping and outdoor adventures, this product was simply perfect in size and works really well. Controlled heat, compact, light weight, and well built.

We bought this unit for a canoe trip thinking it would be great for a large group. We own other jetboil products and know the qualify and design are great. However when we reached our site we soon discovered the control knob had broken off the unit. It was now useless. It was packed as per the exact way it had been bought. We found out that when the stove is packed the in the same orientation, the knob is prone to being bend and breaking. It runined most of the trip because now we had gear that was just dead weight, including the fuel we purchased for the unit. I love jetboil products, but this was a big disappointment.
I love the quality and versatility. The fact that it can be combined with other units as needed is great option if you needed. I bought the genesis, the half gen and the Luna astllate. Got the link hose and replaced the copper line regulator with a rubber hose regulator to allow for a truly mobile unit that can be set in the smallest and most irregular of places.
Purchased this stove for base campCooking and it does not disappoint. Great burner control as well as the fact I could add a second burner! You can also use a 20lb gas bottle adapter.Would highly recommend. Get your hands on one soon as I waited months for these to get back into stock!!
Incorrect marketing and advertisement, possibly unintentional but has caused multiple return trips for rectification.Due to Australian regulations, this product cannot be "daisy chained" you cannot add additional jetboil items to this as it does not have an output connector.Although the product is robust and well constructed, the main selling point has been lost while the high sale price has been kept.
Great adjustable burner. I appreciate the compact size and being able to use the frypan as the lid. Feels very solid. Easy to clean. Carry case is well made. I take this and a weber Q on my car camping trips as well as my MSR Reactor 1.7 as my coffee maker. I’m very happy with this Jetboil halfgen and recommend it when a controlled flame is required.
I had purchased this to replace a broken two burner genesis. I would say this was much better than the Genesis by being more compact. The Genesis had 2 burners, but I never really needed 2 burners for me my wife and small child.What’s good about this is that you can still daisy chain 2 half gens or more if you really needed to. I will likely buy another half gen if we are going group camping.
I have used many different stoves. Several in the past year. Didn't really care for any of them. They are all a variation on the same thing. What sets this one apart besides the price is the flame control. Brilliant! Amazing quality all around. Is it worth the price? If you are tired of burning your beans on the bottom of the pan. Having the flame go out trying to simmer and scrambling to get it relit in the wind (Piezio lighter is awesome. All stoves should have this). Or, mistiming parts of your meals. Then, maybe. For me yes. For others, maybe not. Only real complaint is the windscreen. Awkward to put on.
