Boils super fast and hot. Almost... too hot. Burned my macaroni to the bottom first time out before I remembered that you can adjust the flame down. I recommend NOT cooking food your first time using it, learn it first, don’t eat charcoal noodles like I did. I read all the reviews and I wish I took the negative reviews more seriously concerning the lid and if I did I would’ve not purchased this stove system. I am avid hiker and plan on several 3 day and 2 night adventures this year and needed to improve my food consumption strategies and I like the ability to control the flame and cook in it rather then just boil water. I took the micromo out this weekend on a little day trip and for lunch I took it out with so much excitement and that was the peak of its usage for me. The reviews are correct in its ability to boil water fast but be careful as the lid will come off with any pressure on it. I will be going down to my local REI and trying a different Jetboil system with the hopes of a better experience and I will not have to try a third and a different brand.

First year used it maybe 20 days. Last year 70ish days. Flawless. First week out this year, burner assembly failed. Of course it’s out of warranty, 1 year, so I’m out $60 to get it up and running, BUT it’s out of stock! So in the meantime I’ll probably buy a $50 MSR Pocket Rocket as a backup with a small footprint. Kind of bummed that I need a backup for this stove. Repair plus backup $110. Almost a new stove. Yikes! Hopefully you will have better luck with this otherwise good product while it worked.

I am a long time Jetfoil user and fan, and love the small size and quick boiling capabilities of this stove, but immediately found that no matter what you do, the lid simply will not stay on unless you tape it or strap it. Both of which I've done with varying success. Also, the infighter stopped working within 6 months so I had to carry a lighter. I've had none of these issues with my other (three!) Jetboil stoves of different models. I'd avoid this stove for those reasons until those issues are addressed.
I tried to leave this review on the Jetboil website but I received a message from them stating that my review was moderated because it didn't "meet all their website guidelines". I'll translate that for you. I left a really negative review of this product and they didn't like it.The lid design is garbage, no ifs, ands, or buts, it's pure garbage. Does anyone's lid actually snap on? I ordered two of these and sent them back because the lids would just fall off. After further inspection, I noticed that there is no lip in the groove of lid to catch on the rim of the cup so the lid doesn't "snap" on. It just sits on top of the cup. Seriously, what a completely terrible design. Instead of calling this company out on a bad design, they have compensated for poor quality by using rubber bands, or straps, or cinch sacks to keep the lid on. To accept poor quality from a company because your a fan is not helping the grander audience. The lid should stay on, period. Shame on Jetboil for not doing anything about this lid and for continuing to sell them. Jeboil, read this and fix the lid.
Upon lighting the jet boil burst into flames while on a recent backpacking trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. Dumping a liter of water on it did nothing to stop it from burning. The grass it was on immediately caught fire. Thankfully there was a nearby river that we kicked it into. Had it not been for the river it could have started a major forest fire. It was an incredibly scary moment. There is an issue with the igniter that I believe caused this. Stop selling this product please! Things could have been soooo much worse or deadly!

I used the MiniMo burner with the ZIP cup to keep for myself, and combined the MiniMo pot and Zip burner and sold it. I wanted the enhanced burner smaller pot. Jetboil came out with the Micromo a year or so later. Anyway, I used it making tea, coffee and oatmeal while traveling and working away from home. I used it on some hiking trips to see how it worked outside. And used it on a winter backpack/mountaineering trip on Mt. Whitney and a backcountry ski hut trip in the Sierra Nevada. It never failed and I have used it probably a hundred times or more. I have also used it on some ski trips in Washington State. The Jetboil MicroMo has become my favourite backpacking stove on my hikes (150-350kms). I primarily use it to boil water (very quickly) for dehydrated meals, but have on occasion taken advantage of the fact that it can also simmer. A lot of my hikes have been on the coast where I've experienced a wide variety of weather, but I have never been disappointed with this stove. [ I bought this 2nd one at a good price to have as a spare ]
Purchased for an upcoming trip but recently tested on a quick overnight trip with my 2 kids. Super easy to use, even my 7yo was able to use it. Water boiled much quicker than my old stove using less fuel. I love that it has a regulator so I have the option to cook in another pot/pan if needed. The only reason i'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the lid doesn't snap on very securely and popped off when I slid it down in my pack. A simple rubber band around the whole thing was a simple lightweight fix.
Originally, I just got the stove to heat water in the back country.However, with everything they supply you with you’re also able to convert the stove over to a traditional camp stove that you can use other (flat bottom) pans with. The stove is built with a flame regulator that allows you to simmer on very low heat as well. Highly recommend
