We are huge jif fans in my house! Always have some. We also eat a lot of it. So when I got the simply version I was excited. It has 1 g less sugar and 75 mg less sodium than the og. Does it taste less sweet? Yes. But is it is still creamy and tasteful? Yes. Our favorite way to eat it is on a cinnamon swirl bagel, with bananas on top. So I had my 4 year old try it without telling her, she ate it! Then I had another one made the same but with the og, and asked which one tasted better. Of course she picked the og. But point is, you can get away with it! The simply version does have 10 more calories per 2 tbsp. It all depends on what you're trying to cut out and what you care about! All jif is good with us!

This is some of the best peanut butter you can get, short of making your own. So rich and creamy, but with tons of crunch from the chopped peanuts. Mine didn't have a ton of excess oil - a huge turn off for me with jarred peanut butter. I love that it's low in sodium without lacking any flavor. I usually find myself leaning towards creamy peanut butter, but this may have converted me. My family went through this jar in like a week, because we kept wanting sandwiches and to dip celery and pretzels. Definitely going to switch to this as my main peanut butter, and highly recommend!

Both the original and Simply Jif have 7 grams of protein and the same ingredient list with Simply Jif having lower concentrations of molasses and sugar, 65mg of sodium compared to the original's 140mg, and 10 more calories per serving than the original. There are 5 total grams of sugar in the original vs 3g in Simply Jif. Overall the Simply Jif flavor profile leans more toward unsalted roasted peanuts. If that's your jam, this peanut butter delivers.

As a health conscious peanut butter loving gal, I do need to consider calories vs nutrition. At 200 calories a serving, it’s a great breakfast, lunch or post workout refuel. I love it on a sliced up apple, breakfast bagel, classic lunch toast paired with jelly, or even marshmallow fluff for the kids and mom when the mood strikes! It’s a delicious AND nutritious combo no matter how you slice it. I especially love it post workout for a nice protein packed pick me up. It always packs a quick easy a protein packed punch. Celebrating a milestone birthday.

I ordered personalized Smucker's Jelly and Jif Peanut Butter to commemorate my father-in-law's 100th birthday. I purchased enough for each family member and the jars were a big hit. I actually had 2 friends ask for the link so they could do something similar for their family members. What a fun and unique way to celebrate a family milestone. Besides, who doesn't like a good PBJ? The process was quick and easy and the product was delivered quickly. I highly recommend doing this.

Jif vs Skippy (The labels say it all)

Comparing product labels, Jif is 'Non GMO' while Skippy cannot make this claim. Jif also provides more niacin per serving than Skippy. Jif provides 30% of the RDA vs 20% for Skippy. On the Samsclub app, Jif (extra crunchy) is said to have no sodium but that is incorrect and if you look at the label, it correctly states the amount of sodium in the product. Jif is also consistently less expensive. The peanut chunks taste fresher with a better crunch than Skippy. Even with the same sugar content (percentage-wise), Jif has a more natural sweet flavor and not the cloying, candy sweetness that Skippy produces. Jif leaves a fresher, natural mouth feel. It just tastes and feels more like a healthy food than more candy-like spreads.
