I bought this lovely backpack to take overseas with me so delayed using it until just before my trip. Sadly within a week or two the leather stitching was beginning to unravel....I repaired it thinking it was just a small glitch.Then just recently the lining around the internal zipper has frayed half way along!!! I look after my things very well so these issues are not due to carelessness or rough handling.I am bitterly disappointed & would not recommend or buy this brand again.

I love the features of this bag but have been disappointed as not long after using it the stitching came undone. I returned it to David Jones but they would not replace it but repaired it. I was not satisfied with the repair and not long later the lining frayed as in the picture. It is such a shame as the I love the bag, it is a perfect size for everyday use. This I believe is a manufacturing fault especially as I read the other review with the exactly same problem. I still use the bag however it is very embarrassing opening it with the frayed fabric.

This elegant Joan Weisz black leather backpack is so light on your back you hardly know it’s there. It’s small size (H 27cm x W 24.5cm x D 7.5cm) is deceiving as I can fit all I need into the cleverly compartmentalised backpack. It fits any size mobile and my rather bulky wallet & all the other necessities. My favourite bag to date!
The leather is nice and soft, it’s small but not too small with lots of pockets. This is going to be great when I travel

I liked the old design very much so decided to get a second one when the front zipper was not working well for the old one. To my disappointment, they changed the design of the main compartment (by adding multiple credit card compartments which is of no use to me and another pouch without a zipper) which forms an obstruction when trying to put my items in it. The most disappointing bit is that they change the fabric of the interior lining which gets torn easily when the bag is heavy (the previous one carried the same weight had issues)
Poor quality Joan Weisz backpack and walletBag's lining has came loose, backpack itself is on a smaller sideWallet literally fell apart and became unusable just in few months. Cards always were covered in wallet's glue and it was difficult to get them outThought I'd pay more and get high quality products, but unfortunately it turned to be a complete waist of money :-(
Beautiful bag, but the straps are extremely short. Which is why it hasn’t been used.
I owned one for more than 10 years.Love the soft leather and the great workmanship.It had several compartments both in front and back of the bag to accommodate stylish storage.The only problem is the L shape zipper in front. Found it difficult to zip especially at the corner of the L shape of the zipper after several years later.I would have given it a 5-star if without the zipper issue.
