As advertised. The only complaint is that the mount does not swivel. Did some extreme close ups and had to use some creative bending of the legs to keep them out of the shot so, a workaround!

The tripod is really nice (good quality) and very versatile. I'm using this with an iPhone mounted in an Otterbox. The Otterbox is thick, and it's tough to get a good grap on the phone. Would probably be rock-solid without the Otterbox case.

I’m using this to replace a lightweight model for an iPhone plus. It’s very stable and the mount grips my 11 Pro safely. I read some reviews that indicated that there were problems getting the clamp to hold a phone in place but I had no trouble. Another really nice feature is that you can swivel the mount to hold your phone (or light camera) in portrait mode. The legs are very sturdy feeling and are stiff enough that I think they could manage many of the DSLR cameras out in the market, but I would not think it could hold a camera with heavy lens.
The GripTIght mount is great—very solid and works perfectly for my iPhone 12 Pro—I especially love the rotate feature. The Gorilla legs are nice, although sometimes a little challenging to align them all evenly if you're a perfectionist. The two front legs function really nicely to use as handles for stability when taking video while walking. I find myself using it as a stand for my phone fairly often, even for just watching a video or hands-free reading. The legs were smaller than I expected, but seem to be the right balance between portability and stability.Another great use — I'll attach the mount/clamp on my larger tripod, then use the Gorilla legs to attach my ZOOM H6 field recorder to a leg of the larger tripod, which makes mobile video and audio recording easy!
I liked this more than expected. Also, useful as a stand to watch movies on my phone. The only problem I had was when first trying to use, the part that opens to hold the phone was stuck. It took a little more than normal pressure to open it the first time. It has since had no issues.
Despite being very hightly-rated, I found the JOBY GripTight GorillaPod Stand PRO did not live up to expectations. The phone holder grips did not hold the phone tightly when turned from horizontal position to vertical; the phone would slide down. The grips did not appear to fit comfortably the contours of any of the four phones I tried. The adjustment plate was very stiff; it did not work smoothly and was misaligned. The tightening screw was awkward and required really hard tightening to keep the phone in place. Overall the phone holder seemed flimsy and awkward to use.
I use the Griptight Gorillapod with my iPhone 6S Plus and it works great. I've used it to shoot time lapses, stationary video and hand held motion videos. Originally I bought the magnetic pod but that product has an extra ball joint below the phone stand that caused my heavy iPhone 6S Plus to flop over when moving. The Griptight holds my iPhone solid and I'm very happy with the results. I'd recommend this stand for anybody shooting video on a large frame phone.
I have an iPhone 11 pro max and this is perfect for it. Its small and portable, you can take it when you travel and its so versatile. If you are looking for something to take with you on your travels this is perfect. I would recommend this to anyone.
Since I haven't been able to use outdoors yet because of COVID-19, I'm finding this mini tripod extremely useful indoors to secure my iPhone for the myriad of FaceTime and/or Zoom calls that have taken the place of in-person meetings. I have an iPhone XS Max and unfortunately, I have to remove my case in order for the phone to stay in securely, which is a bit inconvenient.
