Didn't like them at all and threw them away. Tainted by being tinned. Also sorry to see sent from South Korea, so unsustainable

These are perhaps the healthiest guilty secret ever. I love them. I open the pull a little, and turn upside down in the sink to drain the oil, and often eat straight from the tin. Such a treat.

Perhaps I’m a peasant but unlike other reviewers I eat them straight out of the tin for a snack; one of my fav snacks. Careful not to get addicted.

One of my favourite snacks.

I just love these. Always include a couple of tins in my weekly shop. I have them on plain dark Ryvita with a splash of Tabasco. Just heavenly. A sort of buttery, subtly smoked, deeply flavoursome umami taste. Haven’t thought to try them stirred into stew-type dishes as the other reviewer suggested so will try this as I always use anchovy paste in things like my bourguignon. But yes, they are simply delicious as a little snack.

So satisfying

Very tasty must be added to some bread or salad or some rice. There are very rich I cant eat the whole thing but I highly recommend them. Delicious. I made a delicious tomato sauce and added them to it and some pasta.

Tasty and convenient way to buy oysters
9 December 2017

As one who prefers not to eat oysters raw, these are a useful and easy alternative to shucking live shellfish. I often use them, wrapped in bacon, to make a version of Devils on Horseback. A handy staple in my larder for the addition of something a little different or as a cocktail snack.

Tasty and healthy!

These are a favourite since I was a child. Not the cheapest seafood imaginable (they are oysters after all) but full of zinc (great for us blokes) and the missus sure isn't complaining that I eat them ;) haha.My local ASDA have run out of stock though which is a shame, so hope they get some back in stock soon!Try them on crackers with cream cheese or experiment with toppings, or just eat them straight from the can for a healthy snack.

Very Tasty albeit small (about 1 doz per tin)
13 September 2022

I ate these oysters recently on small pieces (1 inch square) of buttered (also try Flors) hot toast. Some years ago I had a venison stew for Christmas and just before the end of cooking I added and stirred in a tin of the oysters. EVCELLENT - try them.

I have always loved smoked oysters- delicious drained and put on some whole meal seeded toast or alongside scrambled egg on toast- really healthy too!

tasty

I had my doubts about these. The taste wasn't particularly appealing when I ate one straight from the tin, not really like oysters, but adding them in to a dish gave a tasty umami boost and I'm ordering again. The have a firm but not chewy texture and the smokey taste is not over strong, unlike John West's smoked mussels. A good size, too.
