The ease of turning she shower on and off, simple set up. Keep it out of the wind, needs the new style gas bottle fitting. The ability to pump water from 20m away is unreal! I made a lead to go from the car that is taped to my longer hose, and it just plugs in at the edge of the creek and we have unlimited hot water showers. No need to be dirty and smell while camping!

We bought the Hottap Essentials Kit primarily to wash our horses in winter and it’s great for that and also handy for the dogs. It’s lightweight and very simple to setup and use, disassemble and put away. Flow and water temperature were good using a garden hose.Particularly love the one-button operating system (On-off button on the shower head).Just one thing to be aware of - the gas attachment is the new Australian standard type, so get a new style gas bottle from a hardware store (or buy an adapter), as currently servo bottles are still old style. I absolutely love the nomad kit and I purchased this with the triple ensuite and other bits spending around £1200. The water was always hot but not too hot and was able to spend time away with all that i needed but one thing truly bugged me.The nomad kit is designed to enable you to be off grid but still have them luxury’s. Now this is all great but Joolca dont offer the 12v power pack in the uk market. This means that you always have to have your camper/truck etc within a few meters of where you set the pump to power it.I have tried smaller power banks like Joolca offer that have a 12v supply but they are all made mostly for providing 5v @ 3.0A, 9v @2.2A and 12v @1.5A. I have found no small power banks that offer the 12v and amperage that is required for the ... Are taking it campingThen you are going to have to invest another £400 to £600 on an entry level 240v/12v inverter camping power pack that is a lot bigger and heavier than a power bank like Joolca offer in other country’s.With that you can then be free but not but the power splitter cable as it has no use for the uk spec.

In a word, this product is excellent. I purchased my Hottap Nomad kit back when it was in pre-production, and the first thing that impressed me was how well the company communicated with its customers. Joolca sent honest, straightforward emails about the delivery issues presented by COVID. Even though delivery was delayed (to some U.S. customers at least), it wasn't by long. When I got my Hottap, I was impressed by the quality and efficiency of the design. The unit is compact and fits neatly into the washbin along with all of the cables and accessories. The kit comes with numerous connections to accommodate several hook-up configurations, and the components feel solid and well-made.I also bought the Ensuite Single shower tent, and my 12-year-old was able to set it up completely by himself in just a couple of minutes. It's designed to be set up easily, and it's just as easy to take down. The 'dry clothes' barrier is clever and effective.Today we set up the tent and shower in my backyard, and I was very, very impressed with it. All of the connections were solid and presented no leaks. The shower hose fit nicely into the shower, and once the shower was turned on, we had hot water in a matter of seconds, literally. The water doesn't get scalding hot, but was plenty hot for us.Takedown was simple and took about five minutes. All in all, this product is very satisfactory and I would highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates having fast, efficient hot water while camping.
It does what it says on the tin!The think I like the most is its versatility. We are not only using it for hot water (shower and dishes), I have also used it to pump cold water around the camp. its a great 12v pump combined with a great heater. We are using this kit in fairly 'extreme' conditions during a house renovation, in a caravan, at the top of a Welsh hill. We have taken water that's had ice in it and made a a very reasonable and warm shower out of it.Only niggles are what appeared to be frequent air bubbles in the gas line that was a pain to sort, but fingers crossed, that seems to have passed now.
Takes up little room in my overland trailer which is perfect. All accessories and pump, hoses etc fit perfectly into two plastic 50cal ammo boxes for neat and tidy storage. Tested out every day for two weeks for two people showering. Fed directly from a glacier fed river it had zero issue getting more than hot enough. 11 lbs propane bottle still has plenty to go for the next trip!!!
Requires little water when I’m out boon docking.
I really struggled to get the Joolca hottap to function properly on my first trip. I would get it hooked up and running but the water kept going cold within seconds of turning on. I slowly determined that this was due to wind. If you have your hottap directly exposed to open air and there is even a slight breeze, it will blow out the propane flame. Once I learned this, I would operate the Joolca with it inside my vehicle and the windows cracked open (probably not recommended) but this is the only way I could keep the flame lit on my trip. Once I figured this out, I was happy with how the hottap worked and I will continue using it.
The hot tap is great. I can get two hot showers and two lots of washing up out of the water tank on my camper. I have so far only used the pump to draw water from the van as I have not yet parked close enough to open water to run it from there. The pump seems pretty powerful though and water pressure is pretty good. All the kit is well made and feels robust. And the water temperature has been really good, it’s useful to have a second person around to help set the temperature when using the shower tent. The shower tent is very easy to put up. Lots of well thought out hanging spaces for towels, laundry bag and toiletries. Nice design features such as the tabs for the guy ropes double up as pouches to store the guy ropes in, and little tabs in the center of the floor ... MoreThe hot tap is great. Nice design features such as the tabs for the guy ropes double up as pouches to store the guy ropes in, and little tabs in the center of the floor so you can pull up the floor making the puddles run off to the edges where it can drain away, nice. Its a bit taxing to re-pack all the kit into the box but I think I’m getting used to it. Guess that’s the problem of having so much useful stuff. I would suggest a secondary smaller bowl to put inside the big blue box for washing up as it would take a lot of water to fill the bbb. I won this one in the Joolca online raffle (Thanks Joolca) . If I had of bought it I would not have been disappointed. Love it.❤
First off, I was prepared to wait for it to arrive. They tell you shipping is a nightmare and offer many times to get refund, so no one can complain about the wait. I did however have a hard time getting some questions answered by a person. No one to call, email response bots, and mini guide overload left me to just wait, pull it all out of bucket, and figure it out myself. I got it to my camp and set up was relatively quick. Just had to tighten leaky connections on the heater and remove TINY red plugs on some of the lines. Then it ran as advertised. I added some distance from pump to shower location and efficiency declined. Had to manipulate the flame and pressure setting, and shut off faucet repeatedly to let prime. Then flame would go out etc. Best is to be ... MoreFirst off, I was prepared to wait for it to arrive. I filled a tote as the reservoir for showering. Got a great shower and barely used any water. I love the ability to connect shower and sink to use separately without having to move stuff around and change connections. I would wait again for it if I had to. Definitely a good value overall.
