Joop! Homme is a fragrance that definitely divides opinions. With a scent that's sweet, almost syrupy, mixed with floral and spicy notes, it’s not necessarily my first choice. While some may love its intensity, I find it a bit too overpowering and somewhat outdated. I’d give it a solid 3/5 for the scent because, although it has character, it’s not universally appealing. However, when it comes to longevity, there’s no complaint – the fragrance lasts for hours, which is impressive, so I’d rate it 4/5 in that regard. Overall, Joop! A great fragrance for him that is sophisticated and safe wear that everyone would love. My husband has been a fan of joop for years now and now after trying it on myself I understand why. It’s has a warm and spicy opening of cinnamon and delicate orange blossom, than you get a luscious combination of honey, jasmine, and vanilla that adds a rich, sweet depth, creating a sense of warmth and comfort. As it dries down Tonka bean and sandalwood provide a creamy, woody foundation with a touch of warmth and depth, making the scent graceful and sophisticated. A strange fragrance. I could imagine someone wearing it well, just not me.

I'll say for the price it's certainly worth it if you really enjoy the scent. I got it for $40, and for almost 7 ounces I'd say it's worth the price. However, the scent itself is questionable. It has this musky aspect to it, and while I like the scent of musk if it's utilized properly, I think it has way too much of a musky scent. I don't want to be harsh, because it's a unique scent, but the best way I could describe it is as if you've just cleaned some really dirty, sweaty underwear in water with no soap.It's not the most elegant way of describing the scent, but that's what I imagine when I smell it. This is probably going to be a hit or miss if you decide to purchase this.

It's been a while since I last purchased any men's colognes, but I do recall really enjoying the fragrance and longevity of Joop! A couple spays onto the palms of my hands and applying from head to toe right after a shower produced a wonderfully warm, long-lasting fragrance that was pleasant, yet not overbearing. I also recall quite favorable reactions to the fragrance. I've been looking at men's fragrances offered in "brick-n-mortar" locations and the price per ounce is ridiculous. I saw this offering for 6.7 Oz at $31.02, free shipping for Prime members. It's safe to say that it was an easy decision to make. Price, Quality, shipping & delivery time were all excellent. Picked this up to remind me of the old days

Picked this up to remind me of the old days and boy did it. Still smells amazing to this day. Still synthetic as ever though! If I was a teen and didn't know what fragrance to get this would be it. Don't listen to all the junk online saying you need to spend 300 on a fragrance so you can smell like burnt leather and walnuts. Women aren't going to drop their panties if you smell like you've rubbed leather all over yourself either. Get yourself a classic staple, Joop, Davidoff, CK. You won't regret it.

Reason for half empty women's sample?

Aftershave arrived in good time though there were conflicting emails to say when it would arrive.Aftershave itself was a great bargain in time for fathersday love the smell of joop red always powerful and strong even in the non parfame, what I didnt understand was on a mens Aftershave order why I received a sample for a womens fragrance or why half of the sample had already been used. It hadn't leaked anywhere in the packaging but still there was only half a sample.I found that particularly odd.Maybe if you buy mens Aftershave, a mens sample aftershave would make more sense ?Ideally one that hadn't already been used.

I was 13 years old the first time I smelled this fragrance, my dad is a bit of a cologne connoisseur and this was in his collection. I've used it myself ever since. It's bold and masculine with musky overtones like spiced wood and sweet red wine, smooth and lingering. I cant do it justice with words. It's a classic. Perfect for days or nights when you want a long lasting fragrance. A little goes a long way as well, in fact I should warn you guys not to use too much, its very strong, one spray on the neck and maybe misting your shirt is good, I've gotten about 6 hours of lasting scent just from that. I highly recommend this one gentlemen(or ladies buying it as a gift). WORST SMELLING COLOGNE EVER!

I don't write many negative reviews, but I have to say how absolutely horrible JOOP! for men smells. I've worn many brands of good cologne, and I do not recommend this scent to anyone. It's sickeningly sweet and very perfumy, not in a good way at all. To me, it kind of smells like stale cotton candy...it truly is a rancid scent. To call it "Old Lady Perfume" would be an insult to elderly women. I had to wash the stink off the arm I sprayed it on, and I can still smell it! Trust me, it's really, really bad...enough for me to bother writing this review. In my experience, I think many of these inexpensive eBay tester colognes are cheap knock-offs/counterfeit/old expired stock, and do not smell like the original expensive department store version.
