Jordan 5 Retro What The

To honor the 30th Anniversary of the Jordan 5, Jordan Brand added a “What The?” treatment to its catalog with the Jordan 5 What The. This design boasts a mix of materials and details from Jumpman’s best Non-OG Jordan 5 colorways, including the Tokyo, Shanghai, Raging Bull, Bel-Air, Laser, Green Bean, Olive, and Quai 54 colorways. In true mismatched fashion, each foot of the Jordan 5 What The showcases a different look. On the right, yellow suede from the Tokyo 5 smothers the upper atop a purple and blue speckled Belair 5 midsole with a patterned interior pulled from the Jordan 5 Olive. On the left, red suede tributing the Raging Bull Jordan 5 covers the upper atop a black, grey, and lime green sole that references the Quai 54 iteration. Heel embroidery nodding to the Shanghai and Tokyo models, icy translucent outsoles, and 3M reflective tongues complete this scrambled iteration. The Jordan 5 What The released in November of 2020 and retailed for $220.

This was a pretty smooth purchase. It is a birthday gift and he's a shoe fanatic. He did notice a few imperfections. It has a few water marks on the toe area of one of the shoes. but aside of that, the shipping was fast and everything went well.

Not to much to say other than they are classic kick that OG collectors have been waiting for. Materials A1 and overall build is perfection. Glad to have them in the collection. A very nice shoe.

My favorite J’s are 5’s….I have many pairs. I appreciate the ability to obtain this retro colorway at retail. They fit and feel like all my other 5’s….perfectly. The only complaint is they removed the jump man logo from my lace locks. This is the first pair I have without the logo on the lock. It is on the plastic that holds the lace lock, but not the actual device. Last pair I bought were Aquas and they were still putting the logo on those locks. Not huge but as a collector, it’s noticeable. Too many of these minor changes will result in a different product.

Great addition to show collection

One of my favorite shoe designs with the Jordan Retro 5z this unique color way is another great addition to the collection. Footlocker has a very fair system with trying to buy hard to get drops. Thanks Footlocker!!!

Great look!
8 December 2023

I bought them because I loved the color. They are comfortable except the right shoe, the lower part of the lace holes on the inside of the shoe digs into the bone of my big toe knuckle. Thought about returning them but know I couldn’t get the same size because of the limited release. Pretty disappointed.

This color way is probably slept on. I’m perfectly fine with that. The color reps my town. 315.We really work maroon. But this burgundy blended the way we do….Anyway, the nubuck/suede/whatever gives it the LUX feel.

Missed out in shoe!!
12 November 2020

I wanted this shoe, size 12(adult) for my son for Christmas! Why aren’t they sold in the stores for non-technical parents and grand parents to have the opportunity to purchase the shoe as well? I am very disappointed in this “game” that is being played for financial gain when there are people wantingthe shoe to actually wear! Shame on youguys allowing this unfair process to take place. Give us ALL a fair chance!!Love the quality of Jordan shoes!

Classic Jordan 5’s in a unique color scheme combined w classic Jordan 5 style, I’m betting will in less than 2 years, I will make 5X up to 10X my original investment. Buying shoes is like buying stocks or currency. Except in this case Jordan has proved to be a sure money $$ maker. Hell yes let’s go!! Give me some more sure winners. I’ll bet on the iconic style of the 5’s all day every day!)
