These shoes impressed me much more than I anticipated. I can't speak about the original Deltas, but the Delta 2's are on point! I would say the sizing is spot on, so when I ordered the 9.5 they fit me like a glove. The primary thing I noticed when I first put them on was the ample arch support and a very cushioned sole. The first day I just wore them around the house, and I found them to be extremely comfortable. At first I found the ankle area to be a little stiff, but after breaking them in a little, that issue disappeared. A day later I wore these guys to play basketball. One of the coolest things about the shoe is the actual soles. What impressed me most was the grip. These shoes probably have the best traction of any of the shoes I've owned. Unboxing these things I immediately noticed the extra bit of leather around the lace holes. This leather patch had their own lace holes in them. Very confusing. Are these for backup laces? It’s very odd to say the least and doesn’t compliment the shoe at all.Overall the shoe was comfortable and the sole was supple. But these kicks are WAY too small. They run so small I thought I had the wrong size.The extra leather (sorry can’t get off it) with the baby blue doesn’t work for me. Shame, these are comfy shoes.

The coloring of the shoe is good but I would like if they got rid of the orange accents on the tongue and the top of the heel. The comfort of the shoe is amazing. They have a very a great give to them without being too squishy. I used the shoe for exercising (walking and jogging) and they gave great support and comfort. They ran true to size which is always great if you have large feet. One of my favorite things about them is the deltas breathe-ability. Love the chunky look of the shoe, and appreciate that it comes in colors that are a little more understated than many shoes on the market right now.The shoe seems to fit for length as expected, though are maybe a bit narrower than the usual fit. They have held up on a number of dusty trail hikes, and seem to be comfortable enough to wear around the streets day-to-day.The only problem I have is that the colored label that is on the tongue and the heel are actually quite scratchy. It isn’t an issue when wearing long socks, but wearing low cut ankle socks can get irritating around the lower leg after a while. All in all a good shoe! Would recommend.

If you like their style and set your expectations for a comfortable shoe but not necessarily a serious basketball (or at least I prefer others) or running shoe you'll be happy.

I got this shoe in all black to replace my Merrell Moab (retired now and serves as lawn mowing shoe). I was looking for something that goes with everything, so the all black with white sole does the deed. I personally did not get this shoe for any sport, rather it is my "grocery shopping" shoe.I have kept the laces at "factory-tied" setting. I like to easily slip them on/off. During my mall-walking trips the shoe stays on. After about 15 minutes, I notice a small bump in the bottom of the toe area on the left shoe (I believe this will go away, once the shoe is broken into) - Thus the Average* for comfort level.I even moved a 135 pound metal work-bench up two flight of stairs by myself and rested the furniture on the shoe as I adjusted my grip.
