The first thing I notice about the Jordan Zion 1 is how comfortable and stable it feels on foot. After a short break-in period, the shoe is definitely comfortable enough to wear throughout a game of basketball or casually all day. I prefer the mid-height top over the much higher tops of other basketball shoes because I feel my ankles are supported but not constricted in a way that could impact rapid movement. The only drawback to me is the weight that feels slightly heavy, but that does add to the stability, which may be worth the trade off in a performance shoe. I really love the looks! My son’s Nike Jordan Zion 1 Kids GS are our new favorite! My son keeps talking about how these are “the coolest shoes EVER!” I love the look of these shoes. The black color has a patent leather kind of feel, and the bright orange accents make these shoes fun and playful, adding just the right touch of color. The Jordan Zion 1 Kids GS are a great pick for your little athlete. Got a basketball game practice? These are perfect. The black exterior helps hide dirt and the stiff sole makes them very durable. I also love all the traction on the bottom to help provide grip and keep my kid from slipping. I love the pops of neon orange! I honestly would have preferred a bit more color to be added into the shoe's exterior and so would my son. The back of the shoe has great cushioning to prevent blistering from occurring on the back of the ankles and the top of the tongue of the shoe also has a little cushioning. The front of the shoe has a mesh material and some vents to allow for breathability and air flow - definitely helpful when using these for sports. His only complaint is that the tongue of the shoe sometimes slips “off center” and for that he would give them 4.5 stars. He said it usually happens when he doesn’t tighten the laces well enough. These aren’t shoes to just kick off and slide on - they do need to be loosened and tightened.
