Why US sinks often don’t come with draining boards I do not know. Our rented apartment has just a sink and no drainer. I was using an ordinary draining rack and draining mats underneath but all that happened was that they became sodden wet and you’d get standing water because there’s nowhere for it to drain. This rack is exactly what I wanted, with a spout that drains into the sink. I don’t know if I have it set up right or not though because it seems to lay quite flat, I have seen some water drain from it but that was when I tipped it up a bit. The extendable piece is slightly warped I think, and doesn’t sit over the other piece quite right so it creates an angle to drain. So the water tends to sit on the dish rack instead of draining away. SO PLEASED TO GET THIS AS A BIRTHDAY PRESENT. SO DISAPPOINTED WHEN IT LEAKED ALL OVER MY COUNTERTOP! THE SPOUT WAS WIDE OPEN AND CONTAINED A DRIBBLE OF WATER BUT WHEN I LOOKED AT THE BACK WHERE THE PUDDLES WERE GREATEST, THE WATER WAS COMING OUT OF THE EXPANDABLE JOINT SECTION. IT DOES CLAIM "SLOPING BASE CHANNELS WATER TO SPOUT" BUT THAT NOTE IS ATTACHED TO A FULLY EXTENDED DRAINER. AND HOW CAN IT SLOPE WHEN ALL THE LEGS MEASURE THE SAME?I ADDED 2 STRIPS OF NON-SKID FELT TO THE BOTTOM OF THE 2 REAR LEGS. NOW IT SEEMS TO DRAIN CORRECTLY. PITY THIS DESIGN DEFECT SPOILED MY PRESENT, THOUGH.

Was initially pleased with this, but a few days into use, I noticed the water wasn’t draining down to the spout as well as before, unless I lift both sections up. I’ve already positioned it on the higher lip of the draining board.It would be really good if the legs at the extended end, could be adjusted to be higher if needed.Thinking of contacting JJ for advice.
Love it. It is very neat and such a good design. Also it looks smart. It drains efficiently, and glasses and pans still dry quickly. Very good for draining glasses which might break in the dishwasher. Really pleased and it looks great, we have the blue one, and it blends in with the kitchen. It is also very easy to clean.
Really happy with the drainer and it looks good too!Previous plastic drainer was constantly getting dirty and difficult to keep clean. This is fab! I especially like removable parts to make it easy to clean, also perfect to be able to reduce size/bulk when not in use on the drainer.
My drainer is not quite flat so expandable part does not fit neatly arounf the other part. Neither when extended nor not extended. Could do with some sort of simple catch mechanism for when it's completely folded small. Works but takes away from the aesthetic which is the main reason I spent so much on a new drainer.
OK for a single person but not big enough for a family. The spacing on the plate rack could be tighter and the raised prongs could be a bit higher, this would allow it to take more plates. The knob for the drain spout is recessed so it traps water, if it was domed this wouldn't happen. Apart from that it's ok.
The colour completely matches the kitchen. The size is much better for our use - plenty of room for all dishes etc (we don't have a draining board). I love JJ designs. However, the design of the spout with the plug isn't as practical as the previous design with the moulded spout to not be able to have it over a built in drainer. I am going to write separately to JJ to see if I can change this. I've tried to stop the leakage, to no avail.
This is the second drainer of this design I have purchased. The first went rusty in one corner. Contacted company to ask for replacement plate stand but didn’t get a reply. So have had to buy a new replacement drainer. Good design just hope this one does rust .
