Best bin we have ever owned. Looks smart without shouting about it. Cleans well without streaking. The blue is mat which I like. More importantly it empties easily. The door allows enough access when it inevitably gets overfilled. Soft close mechanism works well.Just a really good bun and well worth it. Buy well, buy once.

Great product. Looks really good and itnisnso easy to remove and changed the bin liner. The lid closes slowly, once fully opened, making it easy to dispose of rubbish and gies back to being closed without banking down hard.So happy with this product and would recommend.

Highly recommend the Porta easy-empty pedal bin from Joseph Joseph. It is really well made to high standard. Good quality. Perfect size and so easy to change bags and fold them over so out of sight. You can use any standard bin bags. Super easy to empty with the open door design and easy to wipe clean the inside bottom as you go. Also love the odor eater filter. Just get one!! You will live it.
Looks good, good size for 2 persons. Not sure if your household is bigger.Only negative I can think of is that it slips a bit on our floor, but every bin we had, had the same problem. And if you put too much trash in de bin, the door will open slightly on the bottom. But these are minor minor things in my opinion.
Really disappointed with this bin. The bin itself is great, slim and stylish. However, the soft close doesn’t work and every time the lid closed it bangs. Contacted Joseph Joseph and not heard back in a week. Disappointing customer service. Not what I expected for £150 bin!
I really wanted to love this (very) expensive bin. JJ products are normally very good. Sadly the soft-close on the lid stopped working within a couple of days. I have logged a request for some support a few days ago, but have not had a response. The lid comes down with quite a clatter so unless it is fixable, I will be seeking a refund. Otherwise, a great looking bin which is perfect in my kitchen.
Wow - where do I start. This is a robust pedal bin. I thought it was expensive at first - but since receiving - well worth every pound spent! The lid lifts with ease using the pedal and closes slowly with a soft close mechanism. Emptying the bin is very easy, with the door opening at the - excellent for cleaning too. With the added bonus of a filter built into the lid. All round winner!!
Purchased for the front opening door, as lifting a full bin bag up & out was becoming problematical.This is wonderful & why hasn't anyone thought of this before, many thanks JJ.To make 5* review I wish it had some recessed wheels underneath so it could be pulled forward when emptying. Reason is that it is against the kitchen wall & the main lid won't open up fully in this position & as it is a galley kitchen, every inch counts.The box had the colour "concrete" on it, which is enough to put anyone off but it is a lovely light grey (& grey is the colour stated on the website). Thankyou.
I waited several weeks for this to come into stock. The main reason I wanted it was for ease of emptying. And it is easy. No more pulling and tugging on a suctioned in bag that could rip if you’re really unlucky. The blue is a good colour too. It’s a lot of money for a bin but I’m hoping it will last for years and years.
