This is a good looking product that fits neatly in the kitchen. The hold and tear mechanism works very well. It is a shame that the rim isn't a little larger to stop the kitchen roll escaping! I would recommend this if you only plan to use regular size kitchen rolls.

Who would have thought that something as simple as a kitchen roll holder could be such a game changer! The press down function to allow a sheet to be easily dispensed is amazing! Will never go back to any other kind of kitchen roll holder. Has become a talking point for friends and family whenever they visit. Highly recommended!

A very useful product to solve a kitchen roll issue. But one downside is if you then buy a generic /supermarket own kitchen towels it doesn't fit quite the same - roll width is smaller on those.If it's for someone older or with limited strength /mobility that might purchase own brand kitchen towels this could cause an issue. If use the premiumBrands then it works as per design.I'm still glad I purchased as it solves a design problem and matches both my joesph joesph things and my juicer.

This is very handy if you use a lot of paper towels when cleaning. The mechanism stops you from touching the roll itself with wet or dirty hands. The only problem I've encountered is that some rolls (standard-size!) have slightly smaller cardboard rolls, which then get stuck so that the roll can't move, and you can only find out which rolls do this by trying them out. The cap can fall off at times, so you need to be careful when putting it back.
Bought online based on looks. Was suprised how light it was, assumed the chromed bits were metal, but just chromed plastic. It looks good, but just feels lightweight. Also, need to use the larger paper roll towels, the cheapies are slightly shorter and the push top holder bottoms out before holding the roll tight to tear off a towel. Lucky I bought when on special...
The holder is great and handy and pretty, only minor problem is that the typical UK kitchen roll size is obviously smaller than the regular size in Austria. Have found only one brand, Zewa, so far that fits into the holder and you can't get that one in every store. The idea with the top that you can press on with your elbow or hand to stop the roll so you can easily tear off a sheet is great.
This looks like a good idea and there are a number of similar products on the market. Sadly looks can be deceiving and this item is not fit for purpose. The tapered central post is too large at/near the base so supermarket rolls don’t fit. To push them on so that the top can be fitted the roll is then stuck on the central post and won’t rotate. Visitors have tried and it’s not just me……I contacted JosephJoseph twice and received only one automated no reply. Overall a wholly unimpressive issue from a ‘premium brand’.
This works well if you manage to get the type of kitchen roll you like in exactly the right height roll. Unfortunately most rolls are shorter now (shrinkflation) or taller than they used to be.The button on top doesn’t reach small rolls so I had to make a kind of booster seat for it (see photo) just a cardboard disk, which at least allows for one-handed operation, but doesn’t stop the roll unfurling.Tall rolls don’t fit in, Joseph Joseph, you should make a matching extension piece for taller rolls. I would definitely buy it!
I saw this online , decided not to purchase as the reviews weren't great. However saw it in the Glasgow store, thought it looked really good. I'm very happy with it. Functions really well. Hold down the top and the sheet is released evenly, no tears or rips. Perfect.Looks good in my kitchen, a great replacement for my previous years old glass towel holder which I dropped & smashed.It wouldn't hold really large kitchen towels, does hold normal size.
I bought this because it looks very modern and stylish and matched a modern looking kitchen.When it works, it works a treat! It's simple to use by pushing down the top and it's also simple to replace a roll.However, I have tried various sized kitchen rolls, including extra absorbent ones that come in a larger and longer size, and the smaller / thinner eco friendly ones. Unfortunately these don't fit on the stand and so use is limited.Would recommend if you are happy buying the same sized kitchen roll to fit this stand and are not too fussed with the different / speciality brands.
