Unfortunate to say, this was not for me. I purchased the travel size from Sephora because it was trending like crazy on TikTok. I absolutely loved it but it did not last long on me. I sprayed it, smelled it for the first 5 minutes, then every trace of it even being there was gone. Needless to say, I returned it. Fast forward a year later I decided to try again because I loved the scent so much and was willing to see if maybe by some miracle the longevity changed. It did! However I noticed it wasn’t the same scent. All I could smell was this odd Playdough smell. It was absolutely disgusting. Its so sad because a year ago I remembered it smelled so good and different. Not anymore sadly. I don’t think I did anything different either because one of the ingredients in the perfume is suppose to ‘enhance your natural smell’ or something like that. I know I certainly don’t naturally smell like Playdough. Sadly this perfume is a solid 2/5 for me. Would have rated a 1/5 but the longevity gave it another star.

By the time I made it back to my car I was hit with such an alluring scent so I purchased the travel size. Throughout wearing and testing the fragrance out over the next couple of days I noticed that sometimes when I wore it it smelled very clean and unisex like but subtle (skin scent) and I liked it so I purchased the full size bottle. But then other times I wore it it reminded me of mothballs mixed with cologne. I heard that batch by batch it can smell different and the size of the batch bottle can smell different as well. When I first sprayed this, I was not impressed. Didn’t really have a scent at all and everyone was talking about this special, molecular transformation… I was thinking, yeah right… we’ll, yeah! RIGHT! This is sooooo good This is the definition of a unisex fragrance - it is so clean, fresh, and smooth. It’s just one note (cetalox). Entirely allergen-free, minimalist, elegant, and pure. This is what I’d imagine a woman CEO would wear - someone everyone respects, she’s not overly-harsh, but you certainly can’t get away with anything either. She’s fair, she’s collected, and she smells incredible. It both does and doesn’t have a fragrance, if that makes sense. I keep getting whiff of it throughout the day and my eyes roll into the back of my head - just wow. Lasting power is great too, about 7hrs before it starts really fading :) If you’re on the fence, this is a SAFE blind-buy

I had no idea what to expect with this perfume. I had never heard of it before but when I mentioned to a friend that I got it, she told me she loved it. I use very little of this but the scent is noticeable without being strong. Subtle enough that someone has to get close to smell you, but when they do you are sure to get a compliment. I received tons of compliments on days I wore this from everyone I hugged. And days later I still smelled it lightly on my jacket. This is advertised as not being a perfume and instead being composed of a single ingredient, which apparently leads to it smelling completely different on different people based on how it mixes with their natural scent or what have you. Either way, since a little goes a long way, I expect this 100mL bottle to last me awhile. And with a solid bottle to keep out light, I imagine it will last awhile. A+ on the packaging, im having to fight my urge to keep it because it’s a “nice box”. I will definitely recommend this and would buy again!

I have a love hate relationship with this one...
20 January 2023

It is not a perfume as the base note is amber and this is so different from anything I have ever used. It's subtle, smells like fresh after bath soapy scent with a little hint of sandalwood and musk, but all this after 30 mins or so of headache inducing sweet but detergent smell. I have used it around 10-15 times now in 1.5 months so obviously I don't hate it. But even after using it so many times, I still get that initial hit of headache. I love it on me after it settles, because it really has a very pleasant subtle smell. It is supposed to be a skin scent and because of its composition it is allergens free - so it is a great product. It is just that initial pain point that I am still struggling with and which has made my relationship a love hate one with this ... MoreIt is not a perfume as the base note is amber and this is so different from anything I have ever used. I ended up trying the Lady Vengeance scent by the same brand and loved it way more than this one. Probably will end up buying that sometime this year!

Interesting, innovative fragrance…but not for me
10 January 2023

I had seen/heard about this perfume, and even have a close friend who wears it on rotation, but I’d never had the opportunity to try it for myself. At first whiff the fragrance has a predominantly sweet aroma- I was instantly reminded of blackberry jam. When I sprayed it on my pulse points, however, it dried down to reveal a subtle musk with a hint of spice. The fragrance on me seemed to evaporate and disappear rather quickly; this typically happens to me with alcohol-based EDPs/EDTs. I tend to lean towards oil-based roll-ons for just that reason. Layering over fragrance-free lotion seems to help with the staying power. I will honestly say that this is not my favorite fragrance, that being based on personal preference. Pheromones in a bottle!
21 January 2023

In a sea of fragrances that seem too floral, too strong, and too heavy on me, this one stands out due to its simplicity. I would describe it as “your skin but better”. It’s effortlessly cool and understated, but still noticeable. Picture this: you are at the gym and someone is walking towards you that just finished a workout. They are glistening in sweat, but the scent of their natural body chemistry is so alluring and draws you in. That’s the vibe I get from Not a Perfume. It is sultry and musky, exactly like what I would envision pheromones to be. This scent is also extremely versatile, worn by men or women and suitable for occasions both day and night. I would wear this to work as well as on a date. Totally different from the sample!
26 August 2022

I had gotten a sample of this as part of a discovery set a few years ago and loved the scent. It was soapy, fresh and simple and lasted almost the whole work day. I decided to get this because I remembered how much I loved that sample. It just isn’t the same. The perfume I received smells stale, and doesn’t last long and doesn’t have the clean brightness of the sample I got a few years ago. It still smells gentle and comforting but it also has a hint of what I would describe as a bad breath smell? It also doesn’t last long at all. Really disappointed and might return it because it’s not the same. I’ve heard bad things about the superdose version so I feel like that’s not an option either. I wish they’d admit they changed the formula and bring back the old version! I didn’t look at reviews before purchasing (because I thought I knew the smell based off my sample) but it’s clear I’m not the only one who thinks it smells off.

What I imagine Heaven smelling like 24/7

The first time I smelt this was on a co-worker. The scent drew me in IMMEDIATELY. I usually do not like to "copy" other people's fragrances, because I want my own signature scent.. but I HAD to ask her what she was wearing. This fragrance was pure delight to my senses - I fell in love with this perfume the second I smelt it on her! She said a similar story happened for her - she received this perfume as a scent tested from scentsy and couldn't get enough of it. I immediately went and purchased the big bottle of this. I can't believe how amazing this smells.. and I get compliments anytime I wear it. It's apparently a very powerful scent though (I LOVE powerful perfume, not gonna lie..) so be careful to not overdose... I'd literally bathe in this perfume... because even if you think the scent has gotten subtle - It's just because you've gotten used to it but everyone else around you can STRONGLY smell it! This is an everyday wear definitely. It's fresh, crisp, light. To me this is sunshine and happiness in a bottle. Unique, yet either females or males could wear this scent. Day time, night time, spring, winter, summer, autumn... I think this scent suits it all. It's seductive yet light. It's cozy, yet free and airy. It's cool yet somehow it's warm. It's a fresh beach breeze but it's also breathing in arctic mountain air. This scent morphs and molds to everything delightful and good in life - seriously. I pity the people who gave bad reviews and don't absolutely love this scent like I do... this one is for sure a winner. I want this scent to stay on the D/L so I'm part of the JHAG Not a Perfume exclusive club.. hahaha. It's THAT good.

Your Skin but Better

“Not A Perfume” is the perfect name for this scent, which has quickly become a daily staple for me. It is the perfect “your skin but better” skin musk. Not overpowering with just the right amount of throw it is not the bold perfume to make a statement, but instead the understated scent that leave everyone mentioning how good you smell. On first spray, after the alcohol dry down, it immediately reminded me of Le Labo’s Another 13 with which is shares base notes.
