We own giant breed dogs, and finding anything in their size is a challenge. My mastiff doberman mix needed a harness with a handle that was wide and strong in the chest area. She’s a cat chaser, so I needed something to hold her firmly when we encounter one outside. This harness has exceeded all of our needs. It’s super easy and quick to put on, and has held her 160 pounds back countless times. We have had it for 2 years and shows jo signs of failure in the stitching anywhere. Added bonus is the reflection patch on it for night time safety.

Absolutely the BEST.

I've ordered several Julius-K9 harnesses for my 4 dogs and they are without a doubt the best harness of their type on the market. My dogs are all working dogs and spend a great deal of time in the woods against harsh environmental conditions, and these harnesses have NEVER failed. Prior to discovering Julius-K9, I tried multiple other "similar" harnesses and within a couple of months (sometimes sooner), each one of the competitors' harnesses failed mechanically and structurally. Save yourself time and aggravation and to with Julius-K9 for your dog(s); you won't regret it.

Doesn't fit deep chested boxer properly

The harness itself is nice. The velcro on the sides is nice, but large. I have to get new patches that will fit. I have a boxer, and I did measure his chest to get the right size, but these harnesses just don't fit the deep chest on a boxer great. The strap across the shoulders is not tight because of he way it fits, and if I tighten it anymore, it will be choking him. I am going to keep it, I do love the American flag design, I just wish it fit the boxers better.

Fantastic harness. Comfortable and Customizable Patches.

Awesome, high quality harness! Easy to put on and take off. Patches are customizable, which I love. Cool colors. And it fits my girl perfectly, even though she’s super barrel chested. She had grown to HATE her old harness, literally ran away from it, so I figured she was not comfortable in it. She LOVES her new harness, luckily. No issues getting her in it.

Good product but be careful leaving it on a dog that chews

Strong but can be destroyed by chewing. My adolescent dog was able to get her mouth under the front strap and chew it through while she was confined to her crate. Also the strap that goes under the chest doesn't stay adjusted; it loosens over time. Not a big deal, but does mean you have to make sure it is tight if you have a dog that is energetic. I like these harnesses because they are easy to get on and off, prevents my dog from hurting its neck when it darts off, and it is much easier to get the leash attached to the top ring than to a collar in a long-haired dog like mine.

Good product though a bit pricey

Well-made, and looks good. I have used these for years because they are easy to take on and off, and they seem to be very comfortable for the dog. In fact, my little OCD corgi is happier when he wears it than when "naked". The strap that goes under the body doesn't stay the way you adjust it; it loosens over time. I was disappointed that when I purchased it this time it did not include a voucher for getting custom side patches made. That was the main reason to purchase it directly through Julius K9 in the past. Now, I might as well buy it at Chewy's, etc., given that it is the same price.

My cocker spaniel escaped this harness multiple times

I have some concerns regarding this harness- my cocker spaniel has managed to escape it when in a laying/sitting position harness manages to slip straight over the head. Poor quality for the money as well. I was in a public place sitting down talking to someone and my dog managed to break free running behind a graveyard with a busy road this harness also seems really harsh on the neck and shoulders some dogs seem to be in-between sizes and I believe it has a lack of flexibility so very bad for your dogs back and joints. The canine poochie seems to be a better harness in which my cocker spaniel hasn't broke out of. If you want to lose your dog then buy this harness but you were warned!

Nice harness but straps are more flimsy than the powerhouse harness

Our dog has been wearing a Julius K9 IDC Powerharness harness for a couple of years now, best harness she has ever had and still in awesome condition. My concern was that it is very hot in summer, so when I saw the summer harness I had to get one. My husband ordered one a couple of days ago which just arrived. We haven't used it for a walk yet so I will come back and review how it goes. My dog is a working breed and very strong so the powerhouse harness has been amazing. I am surprised to find that the straps on the summer harness are more flimsy and the ring is not as thick as the powerhouse harness. Really hoping that it goes okay with my girl, being a puller. I’ve only had it my Standard Schnauzer twice since receiving it last week. He’s never worn a harness before - we did obedience for 3 yrs. Now we’re learning Search techniques. He had no qualms about putting the harness on & he adjusted to it immediately. I’m so glad to see how easily he moves in it - there’s no rubbing or interference with his natural gait. I went with a Large since he has quite a deep chest & am glad I sized up. The chest band is at it’s tightest to fit, but the cinch fits perfectly. Very good quality too!

Second Time for a Great Harness

This is my second Julius harness. The first is worn by our Husky. The new one is worn by our new addition to the family, a Great Pyrenees. This device is easy on and easy off, which is crucial when you're taking two large dogs on 4-5 walks a day. It is well made. The first one has already been through a year of romping by the Husky. Finally, I appreciate the accurate sizing recommendations.
