Kmart shoes are just as good as these, the only difference is these have a leather upper. The uppers are simply glued to the rubber sole, no welt etc. I don't think there's much quality control going on at Julius Marlow anymore, if bought in store you could probably pick and choose a decent pair - however online ordering leaves you vulnerable to poor quality control, the finish and stitching inside and around the gussets is appalling for a shoe at this price. I got these very cheap, with discounts and vouchers so whatever really, however would never pay full retail for them! ever! Finally - size down- I went one full size down and with heavy socks they fit pretty spot on.

I’ve been reluctant to buy shoes online as I always prefer to try them on and see them in the flesh rather than buying sight unseen. However I liked the look and reviews written about these boots, and couldn’t find a retailer around Brisbane that actually had them in stock. So I took a risk and ordered them directly from Julius Marlow. I’m happy to say I’m glad I did.They comfortable, look great and the quality appears to be just as good as comparable boots retailing at twice the price and then some!
I ordered online. The process was quick and effortless and picking up my purchase was smooth in the Myer store. The shoes ended up being too big and when I returned them they exchanged them really fast. I love the fit and the look.

The colour and the textured leather are perfect.You could wear these boots with a suit or a pair of jeans, they are very versatile.They look and perform very much like another iconic Australian brand which costs four times as much. I brought these boots for my boyfriend to wear at work. He tried on a fair few pairs & in the end this pair won him over. Really comfy, classic style & affordable - an all round good quality boot. Highly recommend!
Great style and material, perfect fitting. Surprisingly easy to wear and take off. These have become my all-day all time favourites.Downside:1. The fabric lining at the back of the heel looks delicate and might wear off easily, which I wouldn’t expect from a $200 shoes.2. Although there’s sufficient support for the heel, the internal padding for the front of the foot is not enough, which causes discomfort during extended walks.
Unfortunately the worst new pair of shoes I’ve owned. Quality seems reasonable but absolutely no skin left on either heel after just a few hundred metres of walking. I hope they improve but the extent to which they would need to is unlikely.
Gorgeous leather boots, strong and well made. High quality and in excellent condition. A little stiff but that's to be expected of new shoes. They actually look better than in the photo.
