I’ve owned this for 2 years and probably used it 3 times. Sadly it’s crumbling apart. We cover it with a BBQ cover when not in use to protect it from the elements but this hasn’t helped. The base & fire pit itself are both crumbling away. So sad as it’s such a good looking fire pit and perfect for an our small area.

My wife bought this. When I assembled it the instructions indicated there there was a concave central plate to hold the sand. (A very sensible idea.) No such plate was in the box nor in the assembly section of the instructions.I returned it to our local Bunnings who accepted my concern (nowhere to hold the sand safely) and without quibble gave us a refund. We immediately bought another fire pit.I am loyal to Bunnings, but feel their buying and product testing system failed them on this occasion.

We really enjoy the fire pit! It doesn’t make a huge fire, but it’s only a small pit, so it’s to be expected. Gives off great warmth and is perfect for two people or small gatherings! We love it.

I bought this a month ago, I chose this one because it is higher up from the ground and therefore safer for kids and animals. It’s not big enough for a large open area..... if you have a small yard it would be perfect. The other issue is that it doesn’t fit standard sized firewood. The logs have to stand upright in order to fit, which isn’t ideal as the instructions say to keep below the top....
After reading reviews for several fire pit options, I decided to go with this one and have been happy so far. Used it two times, and carefully followed the instructions (e.g. placing sand in bottom of pit, doing a small burn the first time, etc) to avoid some of the issue I had read about in other reviews. If you're looking for a small fire pit at a good price, I'd recommend this. There's obviously bigger and better (and more expensive) options out there, so you just have to be reasonable with your expectations.
Nice design but a little flawed. In the details of it it talks of a fire bowl, when you open it there is a flare plate where the securing bolt goes. The idea is that when you secure it by tightening the bolt it pulls on the metal ate bowing it and making it into the bowl shape. However the plate itself has 6 or 8 small tabs that are welded to the metal mesh, one on mine had not been welded correctly which meant when the bolt was tightened it came away from the side which in turn allows the sand you put in to slip through. If the tabs hold I believe this would have been a nice small brazier but I would guess that as it ages they'd be the first to go.Returned and got a different pit.
This fire pit (more like a tub) looks really lovely and I think would be perfect on a small patio or balcony. It does however fill with ash and charcoal quite quickly if you are using small wood And burning it hot! We had to empty it halfway through the day which is not ideal. On a small space for a few hours it would be perfect!
Looking forward to Autumn and cooking marshmallows over the fire with my grandchildren. It’s small enough not to take up space but large enough for my needs. Visitors think it is a gorgeous addition to the side courtyard.
Works exactly as expected. Some reviewers have made comments about 'standard sized' wood not fitting or it being too small to heat a large area, but perhaps they should've done their homework and considered what their requirements were before they purchased.I use this on a timber deck on the edge of a reserve, so a large fire pit was never an option. The sides provide good protection for ember blow outs while still allowing visuals of the open flames. I only use kindling bought from servos for better control of fire size and these fit perfectly. The unit is light enough to move easily, but solid enough to not get bumped over. It's also easily moved while there is a fire going, so repositioning if smoke direction becomes an issue is no problem.I found it ... MoreWorks exactly as expected. Well build, looks good but badly designed. Smokes constantly. Regardless of wood or burn time, I haven't managed to get a clean burn from this fire bucket. Drilled 60, 12mm holes around the base too allow it to breathe better. This improved things but still not great.
