Our old Jura D series died after about 15 years. We both really liked the coffee it made and how easy it was to use. The fact that we could still get parts for it and did replace the seals approx 2 years ago was also a huge vote in favour of purchasing this brand again. The heater went this time and we decided it didn't owe us anything so started researching for a new machine. We did several hours of evaluating and between reading a number of reviews on auto coffee machines in this price range and our previous experience we selected the Jura E6. We are still playing with all the settings; so far we have found the coffee amazing and again very easy / intuitive to use. Who needs to go out for coffee when you have this at home!

Minimum five cups of espresso on a daily basis. Great performance zero complaint. Taste is amazing. This machine makes me crave for my morning cup. Milk feature works very well too but we really just pull the shots. Their machine cleans itself after each use. Somehow we Used two cleaning tablets after two months and need to change water filter already. This is a little too frequent in my opinion but not an issue.

Jura machines really do make the best coffee. The digital screen makes it very easy to use. This machine is very similar to the F7 that I had before. The milk frother is an improved design and tends to make consistently frothed milk. The water canister is the only bad design - very tall and skinny, making it very difficult to clean. It barely fits my hand inside, and is too deep to reach the bottom with a brush. These water canisters mold and I am not sure how exactly to get it clean yet. Other than that, its a great machine, and makes excellent coffee.

The machine is great. It makes great coffee and espresso. While the frothing wand could create a hotter froth, it is lukewarm, everything else is good. The main issue is that you spend so much money and then you get an error after about 8 months of use. We cleaned it every time there was a pop up so there should be nothing wrong with a relatively new product. Now we have to send it back to Jura to get a part fixed which will take about 2 weeks. You shouldn?t have to spend so much money for a product and it stops working before a year ends.
Jura describes its new E6 coffee maker as having “quiet elegance” its “ unique technology hidden behind its timeless exterior”. What they don’t say, is that they have shamelessly cut every imaginable corner to cut the cost of manufacturing to the absolute minimum. The visible parts of the machine are clearly made from the cheapest wafer thin plastic on the planet leaving the impression of a bargain basement disposable toy. Goodness knows what they’ve done with the parts hidden inside.Having experienced the joy of Swiss design and engineering in the fabulous Z10 for the last year, I am truly shocked by what Jura have done with the E6.Julian D, London
Great Coffee machine, super quiet, nice features would buy again! 1st makes buying easy. Great information from all the reviews online. YouTube is a great resource. This is my second Jura the last was a well used S9 Shout out to JuraPros for a good take on buying a new Jura! Also the new Jura build quality looks so streamlined and stylish the Programming is so uncluttered vs the S9 Great job Jura!Hey send me some Medium blend 1st! I'm being honest here!
We've been in the process of building a home and I wanted to do something special for my husband (he's the builder) and he loves coffee - so I started doing my research. I knew a friend who purchased one years ago and was thrilled with his Jura. So I found the E6, which is perfect for us, because it's only the 2 of us (I may have considered a larger unit if we had kids still around). When I unpackaged it (and I must say they did a beautiful job packaging the product-that's part of the fun..unpacking), it was so easy to set up and get started (I'd say about 10 minutes). My husband's first cup of coffee was pure, smooth, delicious magic! I don't drink coffee (tea drinker) and it has a hot water choice - which I use daily. This is a beautiful machine and it's worth every penny of the investment. It sits regally on our countertop (make sure you measure your counters for proper sizing) and is ready to go - all day long. I love, love, love my Jura. I've already told all my friends about it and I think one of them is going to splurge on his first Jura.Thank you Jura for the craftsmanship, customer service and quality of your products.
My wife has had her eye on a Jura coffee machine for a while now, and after picking up a fancy drop coffee machine, Nespresso machine and pod-coffee system, we decided to bite the bullet and simplify down to this monster to replace our espresso and pod-coffee system. When we first opened the box, it was pretty intimidating. The Jura E6 is much larger than other coffee machines or systems we've had in the past. The instructions were fairly extensive and it was a little overwhelming at first. But once we got started, it was easy to get going and set up the filter and easy to use.The E6 comes with a built-in grinder on the top of the unit so you can use freshly ground coffee grinds every brew. But once we got started, it was easy to get going and set up the filter and easy to use.The E6 comes with a built-in grinder on the top of the unit so you can use freshly ground coffee grinds every brew. It's worth noting though, that putting coffee beans in is much easier than trying to get them out, so if you live in a setting where you drink regular and someone else drinks decaf, someone will have to wait until the beans you poured into the top run out.Once you have everything set up, you can choose between regular coffee, espresso, cappuccino, or hot water for tea. One of the most attractive features in the E6 was, we didn't have to use coffee filters anymore. The machine brews single cups of coffee or double shots if you have smaller espresso cups and it doesn't require replacing a coffee filter after each use which is lovely. It's recommended that you remove the bottom drip tray after a few cups of coffee because the E6 will dump the used coffee grounds into a holding box that is attached to the drip tray. The E6 also comes with a hard water test stripe to test out your water. We have harder water here, so we used the E6's water filter to help clean the water out. You can also use your own filtered water to fill the attached tank. Unlike the Jura unit at my work, the E6 doesn't have an option to attach to a water line, which is fine for us, but if you're in a fancier set up, it's something to be aware of.The unit will also automatically clean when powering on and right before powering off - so don't freak out if you've brewed some coffee and then hear it run some water after a bit. We leave a coffee cup under the spouts so we don't have to remove the bottom drip tray every time. There's also an optional Bluetooth accessory you can pick up for an extra cost, they're not sold at Best Buy, which will enable you to operate your E6 from a mobile app. The unit has to be on for it to work, but you can build custom recipes in the app and queue them up.At a $1400 price, this is certainly an investment. However, if you factor out cost-per-use, cost of filters, cost of going to a coffee shop for a fancy cup of coffee, the E6 will have a lower total cost of ownership over the long term. This was definitely an indulgent play on our part, but this thing brews one helluva cup of coffee! If you're a coffee lover and you want to have something that is easy to use, own and makes a great cup, then put this on your Christmas list!
Bought this machine for a small office setting. It so far has exceeded our expectations. What we really like about this machine is the ease of set up and the fact that during the day it will automatically undergo rinse cycles. It is quick to warm up and has an easy to navigate coffee selection menu. Grinds are deposited into a bin which sits on top of the drip tray and the machine does indicate when the drip tray needs emptying + water tank refilling. The machine is not terribly loud when grinding or extracting coffee which is a huge bonus. When selecting a drink, the user can also select the dose of coffee they would like by pressing the buttons on the machine. Volume of milk and hot water (for long black) is also able to be varied this way.RE: milk frother, ... MoreBought this machine for a small office setting. It so far has exceeded our expectations. Volume of milk and hot water (for long black) is also able to be varied this way.RE: milk frother, there can be some improvement here. We like the fact that it has a tube that we attach to the machine and this can be attached to an optional milk cooling system (not sold at JB). This ensures that we only really have to clean the milk tubing system and coffee drip tray at the end of the day. What can be improved upon is perhaps integrating the milk frothing into the touch control panel rather than having to turn a dial to initiate the milk flow.
The coffee-making part of the machine works well but two immediate issues with the milk frothing system: The metal cap on the milk frother needed replacement as it was too worn and just flew off the machine when the steam came through. Likewise with the rubber opening into which the milk tube goes. Now the milk tube flies out of the machine when the steam comes through. Waiting for resolution on this one. I think the machine wasn't tested properly before it was sent out. Quality control needs some attention. Not so sure about the design of these parts either. Seems to me these will be recurrent - and frequent - wear and tear issues. A bit disappointing given my prior experience with Jura machines.
