We have had our Jura GIGA 10 since November 23 and it’s been a great experience so far for my family. We love the individual settings. We also bought the milk cooler which is definitely a must!I do find I am always cleaning something on this machine or changing the filters which tend to be very expensive and change often, you clean the milk cleaning system nightly which is 4 minutes and the machine cleans itself with a little tablet( 20 minutes every 10 -15 days or so) . You just have to buy all these little items. It’s a constant cycle of doing something but now 4 months later I am use to it. We were using a moccamaster before & nespresso machine. It’s too bad because when you buy the Rolls Royce of super automatics, the exterior body quality should match the superb interior engineering.

After over 5 years and 12,000+ drinks from an E-8, I upgraded last week to the Giga 10.Positives - The dual grinders, removable hoppers, panoramic display, improved milk cleaning, wide array of drinks, cold brew, doppio options, and flexibility are all winners. On top of that, the 3-D brewing makes the best coffee I have ever tasted from a Jura or for that matter any other Super Automatic.Negatives - The cup size selection is a major negative for me. I have a variety of drinks dialed in on the E-8 using ml and I thought migrating them to the Giga 10 would be relatively easy with only slight tweaking. That has not been the case. Yes, there is a conversion chart, but it's in ounces. So I have to do a second conversion to ml. And even then the size jumps are too big to properly dial in the drinks. (e.g. medium to large goes from 3oz to 4oz = 88.7 ml to 118.3 ml and one of my drink takes 105ml). Just not acceptable for a machine of such quality and expense. The good news is I can get the precision I'm looking for in the J.O.E. app. However, I find the app to be somewhat clunky. Sometimes it connects and sometimes it doesn't. And if there is a way to share set up info between devices (e.g. iPhone and iPad) it's not obvious which means a lot of effort for 2 devices. Also, I tried to enter my US address in the app and the United States is not an available selection. I have to agree with another reviewer who suggested that Jura make a software update. Jura should update the machine software to allow the user to make their selections with cup sizes, ounces, or ml.In summary, a great device that with a little more effort, could be even better. Would love the opportunity to discuss with the customer service folks.

Issues after 5 months of home use
25 December 2023

I purchased the Giga 10 from William Sonoma in July 2023. While hesitant to spend over $5K on a super-automatic, considering how reliable my ~$600 DeLonghi Magnifica had been, it was the only machine that offered a dual hopper, which allowed my wife and I to use different beans.Up until 3-4 weeks ago, it was great. Then, water began to leak from various spouts (the milk spout that directs the milk into the cup when brewing specialty drinks, where you connect the silicone hose to pull milk into the machine, and the hot water spout) during the brew cycle. It happens every time I make a cup of coffee or espresso.I contacted Jura customer service to troubleshoot and learn what options I had to get the machine into full working order. It happens every time I make a cup of coffee or espresso.I contacted Jura customer service to troubleshoot and learn what options I had to get the machine into full working order. Jura claimed the problem was related to an internal hose that became disconnected and the only option to get it fixed was to ship the machine in for repair.Unfortunately, sending it in for repair means we won't have a coffee machine while they repair it. When asked whether they could send me a replacement, or send a machine to use while the Giga 10 underwent repair, they said they “don’t do that.” After spending so much on the machine, I can’t tell you how disappointed I was with their inadequate customer service.Needless to say, I don’t have high hopes for the longevity of the Giga 10 or my relationship with Jura and its products in the future. While my situation may be unique, I would encourage anyone considering this machine to look elsewhere.

Jura's App Ruins It
17 February 2024

I bought this machine with huge expectations based on reviews read. Understanding this is a Swiss made product backed by Swiss precision. The machine has excellent esthetics look on the counter with amusing flying splash digital and panoramic screen. However, that is where it stands. The touch screen requires better calibration. It is not that precise and intuitive. Drinks are not that really delicious and I am just talking about Americano because I am not a fan of all other milk mixed drinks machine offers, and I use Fair Trade Organic whole beans only. My current Breville machine in fact delivers much better flavored coffee than Giga 10. But I wanted to try Giga 10 anyway. Now the worst part. My current Breville machine in fact delivers much better flavored coffee than Giga 10. But I wanted to try Giga 10 anyway. Now the worst part. Jura needs to pull its marketed Jura app, off the market immediately, because it has a horrible connectivity issue. At first it does not intuitively and freely connects once you try going through the connection process. Secondly, the legacy built-in machine's SSID fails to connect automatically each and every time, forcing one to use the manual mode connection instead, which in turn has a few cumbersome steps to make effective connection and it does connect, however, if you complete those steps. The connection, however is unstable and it stays connected only once machine is on or on a standby mode. Once machine goes off with the app closed, the reconnection nightmare begins once the machine turns back on. The machine's main menu shows available machines for connection suggesting the tapping on the machine to connect and that fails every time you tap on it, while making you to go through ENTIRE connection process again, like you would try to add a new connection for the already existed machine.Lastly, the machine's legacy SSID is not available to be found as suggested in manual, in the list of the available wireless 2.4G networks on your device on one hand and it does not option you to choose from available 2.4G networks on your device on the another. Very bad engineering for a Swiss made product.I reported the above mentioned issues to the customer service as a main reason I decided to return this product. Great esthetically looking machine, yes, and please don't get me wrong. But just ask yourself a question, would you want to have a $5K machine with such with all these technical flaws, sitting on your counter, for its bragged precision product? This is a Swiss made product! My answer is "NO".Best of luck to others who thinks otherwise.

Professional Barista Coffee at Home
2 October 2024

This Jura Giga 10 is a wonderful machine for those who love the highest level of professional barista made coffee. What I love about this machine is the simplicity of achieving the best tasting coffee without the complexity of other quality brands on the market. I don't want the work for my coffee I want the convenience. This machine exceeds on all those fronts. It's programmed with 35 variations of common coffee drinks, but you have the ability to customize and save each one to your liking (i.e., more milk, less froth, stronger, cold vs. hot brew, etc.). In addition to the simple and easy to use function of the machine, it makes/brew genuine Cold Brew! Serious coffee system
23 May 2024

I used to really look forward to making espresso on my E61. However, when guests were over I spent most of the time pulling shots. My brother recommended trying the Jura and I did. After about one day of adjusting the machine to taste, I started experiencing coffee convenience with quality and consistency in the cup that is better than 99% of what I have had at cafes. The only thing I miss is the Micro foam from my E61. The Giga 10 does what it claims to do. My wife and I are very happy and neither of us want to go back to our previous ways of making coffee or espresso. As an added benefit this machine has replaced a coffee machine, espresso machine and two grinders. We saved countertop space.

Useless manual, no customer service
27 June 2023

I had been a staunch supporter of Jura products until now. This is my 3rd Jura. I had absolutely nothing but good experiences with my original E8 and subsequent Z6 machines. Customer service was superb, any questions were answered quickly and professionally by phone. I was so excited to order the new Giga 10 because it had the 2 bean hoppers, the only extra feature I really wanted. I’m not happy with not being able to see the amount of water in the tank without removing it, or the confusing panoramic display which assumes you can figure out what the icons mean. I’m also not happy with the arbitrary “small, medium, large, etc.” choices instead of objective descriptions in ounces for coffee or seconds for milk foam. I’m also not happy with the arbitrary “small, medium, large, etc.” choices instead of objective descriptions in ounces for coffee or seconds for milk foam. The instruction manual is useless, doesn’t explain much, especially the newer features or icons. For example, when you modify a drink, a new screen comes up and you can choose the bean hopper/strength, extra shot, or cold brew. Then, as soon as you press the “cup” icon, another screen pops up and you have 3 more options (cup size, and 2 more: one which has to do with coffee, and one which has to do with milk), and you have about two seconds in which to do that!! The instruction manual doesn’t tell you what the coffee or milk icons mean; do they mean more coffee or milk?? Or hotter coffee or milk?? And the instruction manual doesn’t tell you if you can program the machine to stay on that screen for a longer period of time so you actually have time to decide which of the three items you want to change! And if you think this machine is “intuitive “, good luck!!! I have completely lost faith in Jura and their products. My son has my E8, loves it after 10 years. My daughter-in-law has my Z6, loves it after 4 years. I have my Giga 10…..set it up on May 21….still waiting….am $5000+ poorer….wishing I had one of my old JURA’s……

Would buy again
29 July 2024

After much research and thinking and more research, I finally took the plunge and purchased the refurbished giga 10. The machine seemed brand new and only had 5 drinks on the drink counter when unboxed. Easy to set up, easy to use. My only criticism is that Jura changed the sizes, so instead of an ounce count, there are sizes “small”, “large” etc. these sizes are not uniform across all drinks- Jura does have a size conversion chart for the drink type and what the ounces for each drink size are. If you’re used to using the machine and drinks all the time, you start to naturally remember the sizes for each drink, but I would love this machine more if the sizes went back to ounces. Double hopper is amazing! Easy to clean. “Empty drip tray & coffee grounds error constantl“
8 May 2024

This machine has been nothing but nightmares for us! We purchased our first one in February as an upgrade from our e8 which we had for 4+ years! After using this machine for maybe 2 weeks it started telling us to empty the coffee grounds & drip tray even after they were completely emptied and cleaned! It would get stuck on these screens continuously saying “empty coffee grounds container. Empty drip tray”. We contacted jura each time and they would tell us they’ve never heard of this issue before! Eventually after letting machine sit for a couple days the screens would clear and it would work again for another couple days before going thru the same problems! They finally sent us a replacement machine after the 3rd time and the second machine has the exact same issue. Then again on the third machine!! Since February we have had 3 machines all fail for the same reason!! Now when we tell them we want to return the machine for a full refund they say it’s past the return window time frame! Even though the last machine they sent us in replacement of the failed one is only 1 week old!! Very disappointed in all of jura as prior to this machine we would have been lifetime customers!
