Let me start this off by saying we own a lot of Jurassic World products, and just dinosaurs in general. This Mosasaurus is by far the coolest we own. It is massive with a functional jaw full of sharp teeth. My son was actually so excited for it that he slept with it for 2 days even though its hard plastic. My only complaint is that you have to assemble it yourself and while thats mostly easy we had a little trouble getting one of the legs to click in place properly. It has held up very well to two hyper children having multiple dinosaur vs Barbie battles. When they're not using it we keep it in a shelf for decoration because it looks so cool. Would definitely recommend to any dinosaur fan.

It is a good interactive toy and app combination. My 6 (almost 7) year old boy love it. He love the app and toy combination idea, it encouraged him to look for other dinosaurs in the add and learn about them. I will recommended to any kid who love dinosaurs and interactive (hand on) activities. The quality is great and the size really seems attractive to my boy. Thank you for the opportunity to review your toys. My kids and I truly love it and appreciate it!

It's a very nicely done, and larger than most, model of these reptiles. Beautiful details all around. There is small room for improvement when it comes to the fins, though. I'm guessing that for packaging purposes it comes with ready-to-assemble parts, the fins being some of these. The result is that you can feel that the pressure slots don't grip with the same strength. One of the fins can be easily removed with a bump. I can't say if it's a single item defect or a model one because my daughter refused to let go of hers. Which I guess goes to show that overall it's a keeper.

WOW this thing is MASSIVE!!! My 5-year-old dino lover was so excited to unbox and put this together! Assembly was quick and I loved that my son and I could easily figure out and do it together. I highly suggest making sure you push the arms properly into place to avoid them falling off. If not installed properly they will fall. My son has loved putting smaller dinosaur toys in its mouth and closing it within its jaw. Although it’s not intended for bath play, we did try bringing this toy into the tub. It was doable but due to not being intended for water play it was not easy to drain water from. I note this so any parent considering submerging this toy in water be mindful of that! I was almost afraid that it would seem a little scary to my son at first, but he was thrilled once everything was clicked into place. While it can certainly be a chore for some children to connect all of the parts (and a huge lesson on patience!), a little assistance goes a long way, if needed. He absolutely loves this aquatic reptile, and I love that his interests are starting to extend beyond just Anime, like his older sister. I am amazed at the lengths of his imagination when it comes to playing with the Mosasaurus. This toy is so cool! It’s way bigger then I expected it to be. My son loves prehistoric animals. On the tail is a piece you can pull up on, it exposes a scan code that can be scanned into a app that’s easy for the kids to use. It give them information on different Dino’s and prehistoric animals. It allows them to place a Dino right in their own house and gives them the ability to see how big or small they maybe. There are also games the kids can play. They really had a lot of fun with all of it.
I bought this Dino for my son this summer and it was one he really was looking forward to taking on our summer vacation to the lake and grandmas pool. Within a week the tail fell off for the first time… I was able to reattach but it continued to do so and each time it stayed on shorter and shorter amounts of time. It now will not stay on at all and I’ve even tried hot gluing or super gluing it together. We went on a Long summer vacation shortly after buying it so I didn’t have time to attempt to return it but for the money I am pretty disappointed in it. I’m assuming ours was somehow defective since we have a friend who got one close to when we got ours and they haven’t had an issue.
This Jurassic World Dominion Ocean Protector Mosasaurus is such a high quality figure! The paint job is perfectly done all the way down to the different shades and little speckles used in the blue. The weight of the figure is super sturdy and feels like it could endure even the roughest of backyard adventures. The articulation and little details take the figure over the top. One of the better Jurassic dinosaur figures I've seen. This one would be a lot of fun in the pool!
The Mosasaurus was great for our 5 year old. He loves dinosaurs, and was super excited to see this toy arrive at our house. As it is an aquatic dinosaur, he was immediately ready for a bath; he wanted to get that thing in there and go hog wild.He is having a great time with it. It is HUGE. The bite action is good, the tail articulation is nice. The overall playability seems pretty good, though its size actually makes it a bit unwieldy.While we are letting him use it in the tub, it is definitely not water-tight. It slowly fills with water which then leaks out over time once it is removed. I have a slight fear this could lead to some mold in the future, but if that happens we'll just bleach it and keep it out of water from then on.
