Who doesn't love an impromptu Just Dance party? Just Dance has been out for a while and has stuck to a similar model when releasing these games. The songs were fun but I did not know going in that to access most of their collection, including past Just Dance songs, you have to purchase an additional component. This component is a subscription through Ubisoft for around 10 dollars a month which I was taken back. I wish that they would stop this practice which is why I took off stars. Ultimately I still enjoy the premise of the game. The subscription is something to be aware of if you want a wider collection of options.

I have been buying just dance for years now. My favourite system to play them on is Xbox for the Kinect. I find the switch controllers are not as accurate. If your just doing it for fun or to work out it’s not a big deal but if your going for high scores as it feels a bit off. For the newest 3 games I have it on the switch. I bought a arm/ wrist holder for the controller as I have a disability so I can’t hold the controller in one hand, love this device. Even my friends who can hold it prefer the device. If u have a switch I think getting the device for this game is a great addition. The other thing I don’t like as much for the 2 new games are the ranking systems. I’m a huge fan of the add kpop to the games the last couple of years! It was a great addition. I mean if there was a kpop only just dance I’d buy that in an instance. Dancing fun marred by questionable design

This is my first Just Dance game since the Nintendo Wii. It's hard to believe, but this game is actually worse than the Wii version from nearly 15 years ago.The biggest gripe I have is the controller. Having to use a smartphone is a terrible idea. I'm not crazy about putting my $1,000+ smartphone into duty as a game controller for my kids. Luckily I have an old phone I could dust off for this purpose, but this is still really awkward.I also find the hard-sell of the subscription service to be a bit much. You buy the PS5, you buy this game, it all costs a fair bit. Then you have Ubisoft with its palm out asking for even more money for a subscription service if you want more than the handful of songs that comes with the game itself.I don't know, man. Kids love it

This game is a staple in our house. We had 2018 and my kids played that for 5 years without getting bored of it. Bought them this one for new songs and it is a great way to keep your kids moving. The graphics are great and it has some cute songs along with to hits. We use our phones as the controllers and it works great.

Not the best version for kiddos

I had read some parents were upset about this version, but I still bought it haha.I can definitely see why.It does seem to have more sensual movements that I don't even want to be imitating for a game with my children.Kiddos felt awkward and would say "I don't want to do that" or "I don't like that one" lol.Definitely fun for older teens and really anyone who loves dance and sees dance as just a workout.For the more reserved minds, it may not seem appropriate especially if you team up with your kids or siblings team-up.The music selection was okay.

Review of Just Dance 2021

Good Points: Really fun and more than enough songs on the standard mode for you to play for a while and not get bored. But there’s also a subscription option if you want to access all the previous game’s songs if you want new dances to learn. Love the online mode too that tells you how many people you’ve danced with from around the world!Improvement Points: The in game promo for Unlimited is a bit much. I’ve already bought the game and the songs I have are more than enough but it pushes you to get the unlimited version from the start. I’d be more accepting it if I had downloaded a free game but I bought it so it doesn’t make me feel like a valued customer

Tons of fun at a low cost

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter to play as she doesn’t like the games my 9 year old son plays. The next thing I know they are dancing together and having the time of their lives. We subscribed for the extra songs which has resulted in the one of fun for the kiddos and belly laughs for the parents. If you or your kids love to dance to and sing pop songs, it’s money well spent.

Useless game and total disappointment

Good luck getting this game to work. I bought this at Target for my Xbox Series X, downloaded the required app and was ready to play. However, you will continually get error message after error message saying your phone and Xbox need to be in the same WiFi network. They both were and after an hour of frustration, I gave up. That’s when I googled the problem and found a litany of the same exact complaints. I tried to take it back to Target and explain it’s not working for anyone, and they were like oh so sorry. They would only exchange the game for the same exact one, so now I have a brand new copy of a useless $50 game.
