Didn't connect to my brand new tv through any means which is really disappointing seeing as that's what it was made for. Its running with technology from about 15 years ago meaning it won't connect well to any modern tv. Tested the sound quality through Bluetooth and was pretty poor, had it for 1 hour then took it back.Complete waste of time and money. Don't buy JVC.

I bought it from Big W $99 yesterday. I am happy about it's performance with the price I paid. I have three TVs and one LG soundbar befor I bought this JVC. I have checked few soundbars from JBHifi and Harvey Norman with price tags $150 to $ 500. My family also has a very expensive set of soundbars of $1000 plus. I bought this cheap JVC just for fun as $99 isn't a big deal . The set up with TV, DVD, FM and Bluetooth were smoothly, only took me minutes. The sound effect is so far so good with this $99 and certainly recommend.I noted quite a few negative comments and I do suggest to check the connection of the Optic cable connections both TV and Soundbar as I observed there's dropping out or unstable sound if the Optic cable connections were loosing.Anyway it's ... MoreI bought it from Big W $99 yesterday. DO NOT BUY!!!I wish I had read the previous reviews and saved myself some time. The soundbar smelled like burned circuitry when I opened it and when I plugged it in using the 3.5mm jack to my PC, the audio was very choppy, especially at low tones (e.g. towards the end of a song as it's fading out). It would cut in and out constantly.Games on the PC were doing the same. I swapped the 3.5mm jack for the TOSLINK cable to see if digital was any better, but it made no difference. Each day it gets worse and worse. Now it's barely usable at all.

Took my chances on an inexpensive soundbar with some bad reviews. It is exactly what I wanted & half the price of many of the other brands.I live in an apartment, so can not use my original around sound system as it is much too loud. My TV is not loud enough, so this JVC soundbar works perfectly. Clear sound, excellent features eg: Bluetooth & USB capability etc.Could not ask for more!
Great quality sound , makes watching TV , a movie or music through YouTube a really great experience . Definitely not expensive , but certainly is up the there with the more expensively priced units .
bought this a while ago but thought i’d finally write a review as i’m completely over it, poor sound quality, really quiet even on highest volume. terribly unresponsive remote, i don’t think i’ve ever used something that has caused so much frustration. i remember the days when you barely even had to point a remote at something to change it, now it seems as if you have to do yoga just to change the volume! would not recommend at all, if i still had the receipt i would instantly return it. definitely not worth the price listed.
I bought this online and when I received it I was instantly conserned. I picked up the box and there was next to no weight to it. I was expecting more weight because of the subwoofer. I unboxed it and set it up. I set it up an i was supprised with the sound quality. While the bass was nothing special at all, it was still more then i was expecting. The bass is not deep or powerfull and lacks punch completly. I also find that it is completly underpowered. I have it up loud and my TV speakers also on to try and help. For the features it has though Vs. its pricew its pretty good. I mean i dont think it is anything special at all but its better then having just the speakers in a JVC or other home brand TV. Treble is on par with the bass also. The thing you have to ... MoreI bought this online and when I received it I was instantly conserned. I picked up the box and there was next to no weight to it. I brought this for myself for Christmas, but I should of followed my own advise (you only get what you ay for). A part from the price and its sleek look, it falls apart in the review after that.I find it has very poor remote connection, have to get very close for it to work effectively.Just does not have very good volume, OK if you are sitting close to it, but away from it in a reasonabley large room you will find it hard to hear.Does not sound too bad but the sub does not give you much.If it had better volume I probably could get over the fact I have to get closer to it for the remote to function properly
The bad reviews on these speakers is greatly exaggerated in my opinion.I would ignore the poor reviews and purchase if you are thinking about buying this product. When I connected to tv via the digital cable supplied it did make a strange humming sound so i paired it to the tv via Bluetooth and had no issues at all then. When connected correctly and set up right it actually has fairly good sound and the bass is not bad .Definitely worth purchasing has good sound
I bought this Sound bar in BigW, no big deal only $99 as I have a LG Sound bar at home already. I have read the reviews and didn't believe all, so paid $99 just for a checkout. The device looking great, easy to setup and working fine with FM, and I was happy about the price I paid thus wrote a positive review days ago for recommendation. Excitement stopped as reported by other in this website. The sound bar definitely has defect with unsteady sound, cutting in and cutting out. It is not obvious when watching TV but when watching Smart TV with YouTube and Netflix; the problem is obvious. So I intend to get refund from BigW.
