Wish I could give it no stars. Paid a ridiculous price for this believing I was paying for a superior product. Very badly made and broke while very carefully trying to remove the seed tray from the holder before I even got a chance to use it. Product should be removed from shelves. Cheap junk at a very expensive price.

Finches Like it Even Better than I do!!

Solved a messy seed problem. Best of all, my finches like it. No more blowing away empty shells and wasting food.

Good Feeder for Parakeets

LOVE this feeder. It's easy to see when a refill is needed and I have less waste. I use a homemade funnel so that I don't spill any seed when filling the silo. My parakeets love it, my only complaint is that it is harder to attach and remove for cleaning. Mine does not lose seed but I do see where seed could fall out around the mount depending on the size of your bars or style of cage.

Great Idea but poor design!!!!!!

The idea is great but it is a terrible design!It is very difficult to install, refill, it leaves gaps for seeds spill out, and unit is very fragile.The food is supposed to fall into the food dish but seeds spill everywhere because of gaps.It will not work on a cage with thick wires or vertical. It does not "Fits all bird cages - vertical & horizontal bars" as stated in description. I have tried it with 3 different cage types: Lovebird, Parakeet, and Lady Gouldian Finch bird foods.You will have to supply the birds a perch for them to access food.It has been retired to bin with products that looked but weren't.Definitely would recommend.

Great feeder

I've had one of these for 7 months , but one of the little hinges was broken and the seeds were falling thru the hole, so I bought another one. There's so little mess outside the cage. Seeds fall into the cage as my parakeet is eating. I like the big opening where he eats. I like that I can refill it from the outside of the cage, at the top of the tube. Easy to clean. Good price.

Great quality & functionality!

The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is because it should have a perch/lift just right in front of it. It would be perfect. It may not matter to others put depending on your options for cage placement, there may not be a spot to add a perch nearby. Other than this, it's great! I've tried a couple that wouldn't even stay together long enough for me to even install it. this attaches very easy and is sturdy. The best thing about it is that you can refill it from the outside. I ordered the 'water' one too, which is great as well - can refill from the outside.

Perfect for my needs

This feeder has enabled me to go on trips and not worry about my parakeets. My neighbor can simply refill the feeder from the outside of the cage, and I don't have to worry about him sticking his arm in there to reach for food cups, scaring the birds and potentially letting them escape! I can put as many as I want on the cage. I love this feeder and thank the inventor of it!

So easy to fill!

I have several parakeets and am always afraid one will escape while filling their food bowl and one of my cats will pounce before I can catch them....this food bowl is filled from outside the cage! I only wish it were larger/wider...but it holds a lot of food!

Terrible

I recently bought this as I liked the fact that I could refill it from the outside but little did I know how terrible of a design it is. There’s a small gap between the cup and the silo the seed goes in due to the cage and also the little tabs on the holder which then causes seed to just spill everywhere. This will only add to the mess birds already make and become a waste of food.

Wasting food.

I agree with all the bad reviews; it's flimsy, difficult to remove, has like 6 different fragile pieces which can get confusing to assemble, and doesn't come with a perch, and doesn't alight well with the bars of the cage. But my biggest issue is how it wastes seeds. They fall between a gap in the bars and go everywhere. When I clean the cage I can see that 50% of the mess is un-eaten seeds. I have to refill it every day, and I only have two budgies.. It's wasting my money.
