The FC 7 Cordless hard floor cleaner picks up both dry and wet everyday dirt in just one step. Vacuuming before mopping is no longer necessary, saving 50% time. Its 4-roller technology with counter-rotation enables fast and effective cleaning with high dirt dissolving as well as smooth gliding over the floor. Even hair is easily picked up thanks to the hair filter. After cleaning, floors are up to 20% cleaner than with conventional mops - right up to the edge. The annoying bucket lugging is forever spared, because the hard floor cleaner contains both a fresh and a dirty water tank. Dirt contact is also a thing of the past, as the rollers are permanently moistened with fresh water and the dirty water lands directly in the dirty water tank. The amount of water as well as the rotation speed of the rollers can be adjusted in 2 cleaning modes to suit the floor. There is also a boost function against stubborn dirt. The battery life is 45 minutes, which corresponds to a cleaning area of about 135 m². The device is suitable for all hard floors (tiles, parquet, laminate, PVC, vinyl).

We were initially really happy with this device, but despite the fact that we used the Karcher detergent and have kept extremely good care of it exactly as advised, after about 3 months of us (no more than once use every 1 or 2 weeks) it stopped taking water from the clean tank. Thus totally useless as a cleaner now. This is apparently likely caused by a detergent blockage - which is shocking in itself when we've used their specified detergent and been thorough in how we maintain it, clean it, and store it. While it is covered under the karcher warranty they're charging us £10 for a suitable box to ship it back to them in, as, not surprisingly, we don't have a suitable box that would avoid damage in transit for such a big piece of kit! Having just built a new house with a very large kitchen and dining area I needed something to help take away the workload of brushing and cleaning the tiled floor. The FC Cordless manages to do both the brushing (lifting all those crumbs that fall on the floor) and the washing. Its very light and easy to operate. The rollers spinning makes the machine feel like it's almost gliding along the floor. Another great feature it the the rollers get right up to the edge of the kicker boards and skirting boards. The floor is dry in no time at all allowing my impatient kids to walk on the washed floor in a couple of minutes. No more brushing before washing and no more wringing our map heads. Simply pop the brushes in the washing machine and there are sorted for the next time ... MoreHaving just built a new house with a very large kitchen and dining area I needed something to help take away the workload of brushing and cleaning the tiled floor. Just used this machine for the first time today, very light and easy to push. I have a large tiled house and it stayed charged for the whole floor. What I did find was that the rollers stayed pretty wet, and didn't pick up that well, as I have very glossy, smooth tiles. I have now purchased another 2 sets of rollers, to change as I go and going to use drying solution that I use in my hand held special mops, I think it's a better product than the one it comes with. The one supplied leaves streaks. All in all, I like the machine, easy to clean and I'll probably clean the floors more often now that it doesn't break my back.

Fabulous machine
25 January 2022

Purchased in January 2022 and so far, I’ve used it 3 times to clean my oak kitchen, hallway and dining room floors, plus tiled and vinyl floors in a couple of our bathrooms. The battery easily copes with all of the floors using the standard rollers supplied with the machine.I use half a capful of the cleaning fluid each time I refill it, which is usually twice per clean of all of the floors mentioned. Such a small bottle, but I still have 75% of it left and it works fine.Even after vacuuming the floors beforehand, the cleaner still manages to collect lots of debris and the waste water is filthy.Cleaning the machine after use is a bit of a faff, but once I’d gone through the process a couple of times, it became easier.Karcher equipment is so well designed ... MorePurchased in January 2022 and so far, I’ve used it 3 times to clean my oak kitchen, hallway and dining room floors, plus tiled and vinyl floors in a couple of our bathrooms. The battery easily copes with all of the floors using the standard rollers supplied with the machine.I use half a capful of the cleaning fluid each time I refill it, which is usually twice per clean of all of the floors mentioned. Instead, I clean them using warm water and washing powder in the sink and then place them back in the machine in the stand to dry. It’s a lot lighter and quieter in use than I expected and it positively glides across all of my hard floors. So far I’m really happy with this purchase, which replaced a rarely used Vax that had stopped working. There’s a world of difference between the two.

High Hopes!
19 October 2021

I have been through a number of floor cleaners and had high hopes for this offering from Karcher, as I had always returned back to my trusty spinning mop.My home has wooden floors, matt tiles and also an expanse of high gloss finished tiles. I can say it is excellent on the wooden floors and matt tiles. However not so great on the high gloss tiles as the cleaning solution and machine leaves lots and lots of water type marks all over the floor. This means there are no marks left on the floor.I also use the stone floor rollers for my kitchen area, which is not over dirty but in areas near the sink and worktop do benefit from the extra scrubbing power these rollers provide.I would definitely recommend the product if you do not have high gloss finish tiles. It would get an all round 5 star rating in this instance. For my tiles I would give the product a 3.5 star rating.

I have fallen in iove with my Kärcher FC-7
8 May 2021

Until my cleaner decided not to risk coming into my house during the pandemic, I had no interest in household cleaning appliances. This changed rapidly when I had to think of the easiest way to clean a large house with six cats, two dogs and triplet sons. One of the appliances I went for was a motorized floor cleaner. I thought I might as well go for the top-of-the-range and I am delighted I did.My Kärcher FC-7 just glides along quietly. Its flexible handle enable it to move in any direction and under low surfaces. There is no need to vacuum a hard surface first and it makes short work of cat fur. The waste water container fills up quite quickly and one cannot ignore the red warning sign, The blue empty sign for the fresh water container comes on less often. The waste water container fills up quite quickly and one cannot ignore the red warning sign, The blue empty sign for the fresh water container comes on less often. The machine came with a tiny bottle of Kärcher floor cleaner. I used this and then tried ordinary cleaner. The Kärcher product does a better job and only a tiny amount is needed in the water. I have started using the sealed-wood floor cleaner on wooden floors and this is really effective. Because such small amounts are needed, using the Kärcher cleaner is probably cheaper. The instructions are clear and the video is helpful. As with all German products, it has been designed to work properly only if the instructions are followed to the letter. These are logical and became a habit for me quite quickly. To clean the machine, it’s put on its pedestal, click and the waste water tray comes off. If taken to the sink and the correct opening is used, it won’t spill. Click and the two roller cover come off. Use the little brush provided and the trapped hair and dirt fall away. Follow the colour codes and, with the machine on its pedestal, the rollers come off with a twist and go into the washing machine on a short wash. It isn’t necessary to clean the rollers each time, but one glance at the contents of the waste water tray hints at why the white of the roller covers has changed to grey. I tend to wash them after each session, but clean all the floors in one go, changing the contents of the fresh water container to suit the floor surface. I have found that one container-full is used-up for each room.Over the duration of the pandemic, the machines have cost less than my cleaner’s wages and I have made life easy for myself. The FC-7 appears to be durable and easy to use, so I’m sure my cleaner will also appreciate it when life returns to normal.

It's Great
24 January 2022

I felt like I had to review the FC7 due to such a mixed bad of reviews for these floor cleaners. I have wooden flooring, a chronic back problem and 2 extremely smelly and dirty bulldogs! No matter what I do, the bulldogs are just furry pigs lol. This cleaners has made cleaning the floor effortless. Using a conventional mop and bucket used to really hurt my back. Its so easy to strip down and clean, brushes straight in the washing machine and come out like new. Yes it's pricey, probably a little bit too expensive but I have zero regrets with buying it!

This is the 3rd domestic hard floor cleane we have had in the last year. Compared to the last 2, the Kärcher FC5 and the Vax one pwr it’s amazing it’s quietly, powerful, self propelling and cleans the floors effortlessly with enough charge to easily cover the 100m2 ofnhard flooring we have. Highly recommended

Lowers the entry for mopping the floor
5 August 2022

I don't like mopping; the barrier to actually do it, is too high for me so I postpone it frequently (I'm lazy, sue me). With this tool the entry level to start has dropped significantly.Put some water and detergent into the container, add the rollers to it and go.The machine cleans PVC tiles without too much problems, and if there is a stubborn stain you press the turbo button and hit it from different angles. It leaves little to no water so the floor is dry pretty quick (way faster than a normal mob but not as fast as a steam mop). They only part that I dislike is when you are done; sure the container with dirty water is easy to empty but there is a whole procedure you need to perform to ensure the machine is drained. You get the hang of it but it is troublesome (a steam mop is way easier in that regard).A problem I run into it from time to time, is that the rollers cause an error when they aren't attached properly, it will run for some seconds and then stops. I did not found a reproducible way.I guess if you are looking into this you'll probably also consider a steam mop. While very easy in use they do not clean the floor that well in comparison with this and require the floor to be vacuumed before; also they lose out in corners and other tight spaces (or stairs) where you'll simply end up with a wet floor.I do not have experience with a robot mop/vacuum combo...yet

Uses a constant clean water supply
6 November 2021

I have had my kaertcher FC7 cordless floor cleaner for a few weeks now and I’m really pleased with it. Floor washing is now effortless. I have a young German Shepard dog, so keeping the floor clean can be quite a challenge. As we live on a farm and there is a constant reason for our dog to go in and out all day long. I have tried many types of floor cleaners and steamers but non have left my floors this good. Now my grandchildren can come and take their shoes off run about in their white socks and I’m not embarrassed to send them home as their socks are still lovely and clean. A well thought out cleaner, great job kaercher!!
