I bought this a week ago. Excited to try it out in cleaning the shower area but I was greatly disappointed. It failed to do what it is suppose to, which is to clean. Goodness, it can’t even remove dirt marks that I can easily brush off with soap and water. After 3 trials on the same spot, i decided to bring it back to Bunnings. The personnel who received the item said that they will check what’s wrong with the product. Da, the product is either faulty or not up to standard as advertised.

However, i wanted a small steam gun to do the minor jobs around my home. All the reviews claim how good this product was, in their opinion. I used it on the bathroom and toilet, thats taps, shower cubicle and toilet bowl and i can honestly say 200ml is no where near enough!. It needs constant refill. To complete most jobs.

This was an expensive steamer and didn't clean the tiles at all. It only has a small 2 litre tank so has to keep being refilled constantly and you have to hold the power button on the whole time it is being used which hurt my hand. But by far the most dangerous part of this (and also not explained in the manual) is how to open the unit to refill the water. The only thing is, when you press and turn the button it doesn't open so you have to keep trying and finally with a bit of a hard push down and turn the button pops open but then hot steam whooshes out - and it is really hot. Waiting for the unit to cool down takes half an hour so you use the unit with 200 ml of water (which doesn't clean much), then wait half an hour to refill and start again. This is an awful ... I brought this for some great cleaning price was good. unfortunately the tank is just too small. Only just get started and you need to refi. It does heat up fast of that it is good. With a bigger tank it might take longer to heat up. But having to refill 3 time's for a small job....sorry just doesn't add up with all the extra effort required. Ive answered no to recommending it to a friend but would with a warning of how fast it runs out of steam

VERY DISAPPOINTED. Instructions were hard to follow, 200ml of water lasts literally 5 mins tops. Then unsure how long to wait for it to depressurise to open and refill. So very time consuming task. 5 mins work, then wait 10 mins to open and refill, for just another 5 mins work. It's not really removing anything that I'd hoped it would, I guess it's killing bateria, but it's certainly not enough for what I wanted it for. I also find it really hard to hold down the button with thumb on left hand to operate the nozzle with the right hand. I have trouble with keeping the button ... Im still waiting for final results. Ive used this product to get rid of dust mites in an old Queen Ann chair. The fabric looks cleaner/ brighter but I could still smell dust mites after one go. After a second go a week apart it has made a difference. I expected a third go will be the clincher. I also tried on some carpet soils that a carpet cleaner couldnt get rid of and its made an improvement but the stains have not completely vanished. I tried also to clean grout in the bathroom but didnt notice any difference.
Purchased this steam cleaner 1 month ago. I am extremely disappointed and can't believe karcher put their name on this product. Tank is too small, operatimg time is made up of spitting water with little steam. The start-up light is green and does change colour when the steamer is heated and ready for use. I've owned no-name hand-held steam cleaners that I've picked up from hard rubbish collection that perform better. Yet again another return for Bunnings👎
I am a bud fan of Karcher brand but this item is a FAIL. The press button was always hard to press, to get steam out and now stopped working. Out of warranty so such a waste of perfectly mint condition equipment. Karcher is not listening to their customers as I see my concern was written in a review here 3 years ago 1 no ability to lock this steam button on. Your arm gets tired, finger tired after a bit using this as you must carry the kettle and press down this button. BAD DESIGN 2 the extension cord is too short 3 must use demineralised water if you don't want scale build up after 6 months. No help from support to how to descale 4 no return equipment to base when the product fails. So customer has to deal with product waste versus Karcher own their waste. Climate ... Due to Corvid-19 I wanted something to be able to sterilize and clean all washrooms and the kitchen in my apartment as I would not allow my housekeeper in. If we ignore for a moment the fact that I placed the order on March 30th, promised by a confirmation email delivery inside 1-3 working days and only got it on April 7th the worst is yet to come: 1. Having waited 3 minutes as instructed, steaming the kitchen work top did not do a lot more than using a hot rug. in fact, the little lime sacle in a few of the grooves under the washing up drying area never came out at all until I used my Viakal which got rid of it instantly. 2. No sooner did I decide to move to one of the toilets, I noticed that the water supply had finished. Had to wait some 15 minutes to be able to ... A realatively 'stubborn' grey mark would not come out regardless how close or how long I used to equipment! Again, a conventional hosehold detergent got rid of it in seconds. 4. Guess what, I now wanted to try my luck in the shower but, again, had to wait some 15 minutes before proceeding. Enough was enough! 5. In conclusion, not a bad piece of kit if you are not a perfectionist and can afford waiting some 35 minutes for 'maintaining' the kit and only using it for 10. makes no sense. Sorry 6.I have today taken it personally to the post office, having waited outside for 25 minutes (in order to be first in line), and paid £13.14 for a tracking service. I sincerely hope that Karcher will do the decent thing and refund it together with the cost of the machine!
