I love a good heat protectant as I blow dry my dry, bleached, curly hair often and I need to protect it. I applied a quarter sized amount per the instructions and was immediately pleased with the fresh, clean scent. After blow drying, my hair felt smooth and manageable. It didn’t weight my hair down or make it greasy. Definitely a nice product and while I don’t mind spending a little more for quality hair products, I do think this one is priced a little excessively compared to the Redken I currently use and enjoy. For that reason, I will use this up and go back to my old standby. If you have the budget, I do recommend this product.

Kerastase Resistance Blow-Dry Primer for Damaged / Dry Hair has been working great so far. I have medium length, straight, thick, dry hair, and I am always concerned about using heat products. I have been following the instructions and applying a chestnut sized amount onto my towel dried hair, prior to blow drying it. I have been making sure that I only apply the product towards the length and ends of my hair – not on my scalp. Hair wash routine staple

This is a great product which is one of my go to favourites in my hair care routine. I switch up my shampoos and conditioners but this product mixed with your favourite hair oil will leave you with the silkiest blow dry. I’ve realised with my hair damage from consistent hair dying that I needed to heat protect twice! Once before and once after the blow dry it using additional heated styling tools. It has a lovely smell which is fresh and clean but not the traditional white linen smell. Even if you have virgin hair I’d highly recommend this product in order to continue protecting your hair. LOVE, love LOVE!

Love the Results, Hate the Smell

I received this in the travel size to try and review and the Kerastase Heat Protector is a great product. Using this before blowdrying made my hair very easy to manage and added a great shine. This did not weigh my hair down, as I still got a lot of body with a round brush. I did follow with a flat iron and my hair stayed for about 5 days, with minor flat iron touch ups. My hair did get slightly frizzy in this time period, something I've yet to find a perfect styler for. The real negative about this product is the smell. This smells awful to me and I find it really hard to use because the scent makes me feel sick. Fortunately, I only smell this for a few minutes, but it is very off putting and makes me regret using it everytime. After much research, I bought Olaplex 6 + 7 and Kerastase Ciment Thermique at the same time. At first, I liked Olaplex more, until I found myself reaching for the Kerastase more and more until eventually, I exclusively only reach for the Kerastase. Olaplex definitely has a more silicone feel and more slip. My hair gets oily pretty quickly so it wasn't the best for my hair. Kerastase on the other hand...WOW. This stuff makes my hair noticeably more shiny and less frizzy, with no greasy or oily feeling. The second day hair is just as good, if not better! I have been heat styling every other day for 4 months and I credit this product as the reason my hair still doesn't feel or look damaged.
