This shampoo made my hair feel SO clean afterwards! Like, I could feel every individual hair move around my head when I tousled my hair, if that makes sense. Caused crazy hair shedding, dry and tangled hair

Wanted to love this shampoo because of all the hype around it. I have long thin hair with blonde highlights. I wash my hair every 5 days. I am 39 years old and have always had my hair long, around mid-back length. My hair has always been super healthy, I do not use heat on my hair and visit the salon regularly. This shampoo has made my hair shed significantly, even during the first wash. My regular shampoo seemed to work just as well with the K18 mask. HOWEVER, I did like what it was doing for my scalp. After my hair dried, I noticed that my hair was much softer and smoother but I can’t say that the mask worked better with the shampoo than without as I have been already using the mask in my hair care routine for the last 2 months. While I don’t use the K18 leave-in molecular repair hair mask frequently, I do notice a difference in my hair’s condition on days that I use the mask vs days that I don’t. Overall, I love to think that using the K18 PEPTIDE PREP detox shampoo and the leave-in molecular repair hair mask together might yield better results. I definitely recommend giving the K18 PEPTIDE PREP detox shampoo and the leave-in molecular repair hair mask a try but if you are concerned about the prices, I would say invest in the K18 leave-in molecular repair hair mask and find a clarifying shampoo at a lower price point.

Intense shedding. Please read!

I only wash my hair once a week so I need a good scalp detox shampoo. After the first wash I noticed significantly more shedding throughout the week. During the second wash the shedding was alarming. I’m talking chunks of hair. The strands were coming out clumped together which was an indicator that something was wrong, and this was not normal shedding. Stupidly, I used it a third time because I didn’t want to believe it was this shampoo and the same thing happened. I know what normal shedding is for me and I would say I lost at least 4x as much in those three uses. Nothing else in my routine changed and this is also the only product that touches my scalp. K18 maintenance shampoo & mask are amazing

I have hypothyroidism and low hormonal levels for which I take meds & under-the-skin pellets (I’m female btw). I experienced hair fall thought to be due to testosterone levels increasing and was prescribed spironolactone and later, compounded 7% minoxidil. Spironolactone helped control my suddenly crazy oily skin and breakouts but I was still experiencing a ton of hair fall to the point️ that my hair was noticeably thinner and was prescribed this high dose of minoxidil twice daily. A side effect, which is rare apparently, was that it changed my normally shiny fine slightly wavy hair (which I had a lot of off) into a dry straw-like frizzy mess with crazy unmanageable waves. I use this shampoo daily and I think it’s been the cherry on the top, so to speak. I really really like this shampoo! I also use a hot brush to control frizz and add shine (it really makes a difference) and a balm and hair oil also purchased through LovelySkin. I was in the market for a clarifying shampoo and opted for this one instead of olaplex even though i use more olaplex products than K18, due to the price difference. I opted for this one due to reviews I read that said it lathers better than the olaplex. yes, it does lather enough, but I have to use quite a bit because I have a lot of hair.
