I tried the K18 Chelator on myself 3x now, this is what I found. Backstory - I have extremely oily thin hair that has level 8-9 highlights with natural level 5 base. I do have very hard water but recently got a full house water filter and softener system. My hair has been the worst it has in years. I used this both pre color/toning with Redken shades EQ and as a stand alone metal detox treatment. With pre color I do think it helped my hair tone better and has helped keep the toner in place without becoming brassy as fast as it usually does. Was easy to use and no issues during use with color. When using as a detox it helps but isn't as strong as say the Malibu hard water treatment which I've used alot prior. I find my hair actually responds better to Malibu in the fact it has more volume, resets where I'm less oily and buildup is really gone. Where as the K18 I feel like it's not fully getting all that buildup out but k18 might be a good more gentile option for hair that's very damaged. If the price was addressed to something more reasonable I would consider using this mainly for pre color application. But if you are really needing heavy duty metal and buildup detox I would go with another option.

After using the K18 Chelator my hair literally felt silky smooth and so hydrated. I felt like it helped to absorb my other products better for styling. My hair lasted for DAYS! It stayed silky smooth - with virtually no frizz. I have curly dry hair and this revived my hair. I also went and got my hair colored and my stylist said she has never seen my hair so hydrated. I definitely recommend this over other similar brands.

I received this product for free from Influenster I exchange for my honest review. K18 has been coming in hot with this healthy hair product line. The peptide prep is specifically for clarifying the hair in preparation for a chemical treatment or just a simple blow out and style. Claiming to reduce and remove build up in only 4 minutes I was impressed when it actually did just that. Easy to apply with a fine mist spray pump. This will increase color vibrancy and improve the use of the products you choose you use afterwards. I recommend giving this a try. It's unique but it does what it says. It lost a star for the unpleasant smell.

From opening I love this product, it comes with a screw cap and the sprayer is stored separately for safe shipping and delivery. The packaging also features the QR codes so that you can scan them for more information or directions to the product. I love that we are bringing science and biotechnology into hair products that actually work! This chelator is amazing for color clients on pre service before any color service or to remove buildup and unwanted brassy tones from current blonde and color clients.

I have extremely dry and damaged hair after years of coloring, heat styling . For the first time my hair was actually soft and shiny and manageable and I was so happy about that! I've been using it rather religiously since then, I've used it a few times in a row .My hair is so silky and has far less fly aways since starting to use. After used it 2 times a week. It’s leaves my hair strong and silky! Definitely protected and soft.

This is the best product I’ve ever used. I’m a Cosmetologist and nothing compares to this. If you have gray hair that is dry and frizzy..this works wonders. It makes your hair so soft and the shine is amazing. Only use a couple of sprays…to much will give you the opposite effect. . I would definitely recommend this product.

The product have a very nice casing set up. The products bottle can be locked or unlocked with a push of a small button to prevent the bottle from leaking ! I thought that was kinda of nice but the color of the bottle is intriguing. After using the product , it leaves your hair with an alarming smell which was a con I had. I couldn’t really see a change in my hair when using this product. I would recommend changing the scent of the product and thickening the solution of the product for applying on hair towards prewash.

I love the k-18 products in general. I received the k-18 Chelator and the first thing I noticed was how nice the scent is. It is a really clean, fresh scent. It’s really easy to apply because it comes with a pump that gives a good even spray and a decent amount of product comes out. I notice that the color comes out really evenly after using the chelator and the hair is really shiny and healthy looking after using the product, even if it looked dull or dry to start. It’s an expensive product but I think it’s worth the cost for the results of healthy, shiny even colored hair for my clients.

K18 Peptide Prep was easy to use with its manageable spray nozzle which made for a perfect application of even distribution. I did see noticeable results on my client after one application. The hair seemed to have a more lustrous shine was more manageable. I will say that I believe that a higher level of results would have been achieved had I been given the opportunity to use the entire K18 system that was suggested on the Peptide Prep bottle. Nevertheless, both my client I were highly impressed equally pleased with the results of this pro chelating hair complex. I would highly recommend will be adding to my salon haircare regimen.
