This is my new favourite way to brew! Love the flat bottom design and it's still easy to clean despite the small neck. At first I wasn't sure if I'd like the white plastic look but I think it looks nice as well. For me it's the perfect amount of coffee in the morning.

Fun Alternative To My Other Brewers

I own a bunch of other brewers (V60, V60Switch, and Chemex) all of which are cones. This is my first flat bottom brewer and I do enjoy using it as it's quite simple to get right and keep consistent. However, I still enjoy the control offered by my V60. This is great when I want a change up though. I'm not a fan of the glass brewer and glass carafe separated by a metal cage. I wish they had opted to have a metal brewer insert into the carafe. The three pieces don't always sit together perfectly and tend to be very noisey/rattley. But I'm being picky.

I knew it would break.

As soon as I opened the box, I knew the dripper wasn't going to survive. I'm not especially clumsy- the glass is so thin and delicate that, despite handling it gently every time I used it, the dripper slipped from my hands while drying it and it exploded into countless pretty shards in my sink.From there it's a total loss, since you can't reorder the dripper that comes with this set. Why would you want to? Because the standard wave dripper has a base that fits awkwardly in the carafe.Adding insult to injury, I discovered another retailer has this set for half the price after the dripper shattered. Go with Prima's generous price match with this one if you really want, but I wouldn't recommend this set to anyone.

I love it. Retiring my other brewing gear.

Finally. I've found the ultimate manual pour over / drip brewer. I have an Aeropress, Kone Brewing System, and automatic drip brewer. The Kalita Wave Style Set is amazing. Why?-It looks gorgeous on the counter-Thick filters product a clarified cup-Fast brewing due to the 'wave' of the filter-Flat bottom filter makes for a nice 'bed' to avoid over-extraction-Simple and no fuss set up and cleaning-Best feature: CONSISTENCYI'd highly recommend this to anyone seeking a consistent cup of great brew.

Cool little brewer. I use a single cup v60 normally and don’t see a big difference in performance, but it’s as simple to use and is great when making more than one cup - looks great too

New Favorite Way to Brew

I've been using the Kalita Wave daily for over a month now and I can say it is now my new favorite way to brew coffee.When I first received the Style Set, I was immediately impressed by the looks. It is a slim and sexy piece of glass. The plastic cover on the neck is removable to allow for cleaning in case some liquid drips into it. The filter holder and carafe are easy to handle and clean.It took some getting used to when initially attempting to brew with this device. After reading and watching a few videos, I realized the most important thing is to use pulse pouring instead of a constant flow of water. Once I figured out the pulse pouring, the Kalita was brewing excellent coffee with a fuller body than that of a Chemex or V60. The cup is still a clear as they come with all the tasting notes present. The best thing about the Kalita, as many other reviewers have noted, is the consistency. As soon as I figured out the technique, my cups have been perfect every morning. With other pour-overs your at the mercy of how well you're able to pour water that morning. With the Kalita, the accuracy doesn't seem to matter as much.The Kalita is my go-to for my morning brew of 24oz, which I think is the perfect amount for the Style Set. It works very well with single cup brewing as well, although I prefer to play with the V60 for that. Anything larger than 32oz and I'll have to move over to the Chemex. I think this is the only pour-over device anyone could need if you're just starting out, and I would definitely recommend it to beginners as it is easy to make a great cup consistently.One more thing to take into consideration when buying is filters. As of now, it's difficult to find the wave filters, so try and stock up at the time of purchase.

Nice Brewer

It makes nice coffee. Generally non-stainless steel versions have a faster drawdown so it's a plus. I usually don't use this for the first cup because it's glass and you know how things go in early morning.

Nice design

I have been using Kalita flat bottom wave filters for quite a while (three years) but liked the design of this product. The glass filter holder is very nice, and I like that it sits in a wire cage, both protecting glass, and providing the perfect instrument for removing hot filter and holder from carafe, for pouring. I also like the carafe. Similar to Chemex style, but refined nicely.Ordering was quick, and easy. Product came as described.First time ordering from Prima, and was very pleased.
