It is great except the package. Nothing in the box to keep the grill in the box. Not sure if it is because of Kamado Joe company or Wayfair. The 3 legs were torn and need tool to put them straight again. Great product, but terrible packaging.

Damaged due to bad packaging

The main problem I have is with the shipping department of Kamado Joe. Everything I have ordered has been poorly packed and thus damaged during shipping. The grill extender legs were bent to the point the extender will not fill securely on the grill.

Doubled My Cook Space

This worked out well for us by almost doubling our cook space. We were able to cook everything for our group in a single cook.

Fits well

Expander very sturdy. Fits on the lower grill correctly and takes up very little cooking space. Is tall enough to flip meat on the lower grill witrhout problems.

Great addition!

I needed extra space for a block party we were hosting. This expander was the perfect addition to my grill. The only negative is how the expander sits on top of the grates. It would be nice if there was a more secure connection.

Great for smoking

I needed a way to help fit additional racks of ribs on my KonnectedJoe. This was an easy way to get that third rack of ribs on without having to cut them in half and still keep them flat while cooking.

Must have accessory

An absolute must for the Kamado Joe classic, adds loads of space to your grill. For long cooks keep rotating the food. I did some ribs and didn't rotate and the bottom ones were cooked much better than the ones on top of this expander.

Really gets Meat Into the Dome

Cooked both PIzza and Wings with this. It put the meat well into the dome. Really helped with crisping and browning.

Who wouldn’t want another slab of ribs?

What can I say?This does exactly what it is supposed to do. It’s a second cooking grate.The craftsmanship is outstanding.Now I find myself just looking for an extra slab of ribs or another pack of wings to throw on the grill. Because, why not?

Works great - minor issue

I bought this to expand the capacity of my KJC III, and it works great. The only issue I have is that you can't use it with the slo-roller if the grates are at the top-most setting because the lid won't close.
