I rarely bother to leave reviews, but I have to say that this has become one of my favorite grilling accessories. I cooked the best grilled chicken thighs in this that I have ever eaten, and I'll never bother going out to eat buffalo chicken wings again now that I have this little beauty. So, maybe I should have washed the basket when I got it out of the box, but I didn’t (do you wash a grill grate?). I cooked wings in the tumbler basket tonight, and when I brought them in the house, my wife asked what the chemical smell was. Sure enough, I even tasted a chemical taste when i started eating them. We ended up not eating them and throwing out the wings. Hoping it’s just because I didn’t wash the basket first.

The Joetisserie Basket Kit has endless possibilities so get creative! I like to use the flat basket for steaks, chicken, turkey or roast and the round basket for veggies and wings. So easy to set up and not having the middle rod running through the basket is a huge benefit. You can easily get 5+ pounds of wings and clean up is a breeze being able to wash in the dishwasher. Not to mention it’s built like a tank. Definitely a must have accessory!

I received this as an ambassador to review. LOVE IT! Old rotisseries baskets are just that a basket that doesn’t adjust. Your food ends up flipping around inside and knocking all the rub off. This basket is adjustable so your food stays put while rotating. 5 stars, highly recommend!

It includes both adjustable flat grates for holding fish, spatchcocked chicken, small roasts, etc and also 2 clamshell type baskets for converting it into a tumbler type basket.They both attach to the same basket frame so it's one less thing to store. You can also use a combination of the flat and clamshell pieces. I placed chicken pieces between the flat grates and then added baby potatoes on the outside and then installed the clamshells.This created 2 half tumblers with the protein in the middle. The chicken basted and flavored the potatoes as it cooked. Once the potatoes were done, I removed them and let the chicken finish without the clamshells installed.Still experimenting with different foods and setups but so far it's doing great. This basket is a must have. I’ve used a Napoleon basket for the past couple years, mostly for wings, and have loved it. But this JoeTisserie Basket comes with a flat and tumbler basket, giving me immediate versatility the Napoleon can not touch. Seriously. I’ll be able to break this out several times a week to cook potatoes, fish, chicken, veggies … whatever! The quality and clean-up has immediately made my Napoleon basket obsolete. This has become my #1 Joe accessory. Highly recommend!
No bolts or scews were included with my basket kit. In other words, I don’t yet have a working basket kit.So I emailed text support and said exactly this. They responded as if they hadn’t read my email, asking what was missing so I explained it again. Their email response was can you send a photo? Of what?! Its missing what I need so how do i take a photo of what I don’t have? It’s a basket with the missing scews and bolts. Do you want a photo of the basket and rods? So their solution was to send another basket with….wait for it…no hardware again!It must be very hard to hire good help nowadays. So I still have no bolts or screws to put the kit together. Pitiful customer service/support…but a great Kamado.
I've used the new JoeTisserie Basket twice now and have had great results both times. Both times I made wings. I have used the Flat Basket and the Tumbler Basket for Wings. Both were AMAZING. I found that the seasoning stuck better with the Flat Basket.The new JoeTisserie Basket will allow you to make so many more things that you couldn't before. It’s so easy because you just put your protein in your prep table / counter etc… and then just click it on the frame and let it spin. The wings were perfectly even with the crisp we really like. I gotta size it was nice not have to flip forty five wings lol. Really cool. Next up I am going to use the flat basket for fish and my son wants to see a spatchcock chicken on the spin! I’m also thinking planning on doing a Picanha but instead of doing my usual C shape on the rod, I’ll put it in the flat basket on a less wide of a setting and I think drums will be epic with this. I admit I kinda dreaded cleanup but it was super easy. I just gave it a spray and brushed off any larger bits and in the dishwasher it went. Came out gleaming! Kamado Joe really thought about this product and it shows. Great engineering and build quality. Easy and fun to use. Highly recommend the JoeTisserie Basket Kit!
This is a great accessory! The design allows one to cook a verity of meats & veggies. So far I have cooked a leg of lamb, Boston butt, and 10 lbs of wings. It is so easy to clean. I use an old chlorine bucket full of soapy water and soak all parts overnight then use a nylon bush to knock off the stuck on particles, then put it in the dishwasher and when the cycle is dine I just whip it down. Mine as clean as new.
