This electric blanket is much more comfortable than its predecessor, a Jason, which had large and uncomfortable plastic sections where the controls connected into the blanket. However, it is also nowhere near as hot, with 3 (maximum) on this unit feeling pretty much like 1 (minimum) on the Jason.

My Kambrook KSB Dream Weaver Electric Blanket purchased from the Good Guys Bendigo replaced one of another brand I had used for many years that was no longer working. I found the new Kambrook easy to fit and use. My bed is a King Single and the new electric blanket does not quite cover the mattress under the pillow but this does not reduce its effectiveness.

Where the wires connect to the blanket there are hard lumps which intrude into the sleeping/heating area, otherwise a satisfactory product. Possibly because the blanket is advertised as a double/queen size- my bed is a queen size which is larger than a double.

Where the wires connect to the blanket there are hard lumps which intrude into the sleeping/heating area, otherwise a satisfactory product. Possibly because the blanket is advertised as a double/queen size- my bed is a queen size which is larger than a double.
Love that this has a warm zone for my cold feet and that it has so many heat settings. The double controls is a must as well, as we like the bed to be different temperatures. It is a good size for my deep mattress, covering the top and tucking under the mattress to avoid pulling off.
Medium temperature perfect to get the chill out before hopping into bed. Really lovely product and a good price. The only issue is there is not much padding on top of the wires.
It fitted the bed very well. I dont really feel the heating elements while laying on it. I normally only use the number one setting as I find the other two settings to hot. Its been working very well.
Having bought several inexpensive electric blankets and had them break down after only a short time, I decided to buy a decent blanket through Appliances On-Line. I am more than very pleased with this Kambrook blanket. It fits the Queen-size bed perfectly. Its controls are easy to see and use, especially from the bed and I don't have to put my glasses on to read the controls. With a bad back I need the warmth of a good electric blanket and much appreciate the different forms of heat available with the Kambrook. Does the job fine. Padding on the blanket is good enough that I can't feel the wires (though mine is under a mattress protector so that helps). The hard plastic cover sewn in the blanket where the power cable meets the heat cable could be a bit further out on the edge of the blanket but not an issue for us.
Some electric blankets have elements that can be felt through the sheets. This one is not one of those. And was available at a decent price at time of purchase. Ive only had it for a week so longevity is unknown but it has a warranty and I cant imagine dearer ones could improve on this enough to justify spending more. There are wool alternatives but this one seems to retain the heat well after switching it off.
Although it lacks the detachable lambswool () cover my last Kambrook electric blanket had, the soft material it's topped with is comfortable. I initially thought it a bit lacking in heat compared with my electric blanket immediately prior, but whether it's due to the unit "burning in" or something else, it now feels plenty hot on 3 (maximum).
