Sub8 gives you the speed and accuracy that only a sealed subwoofer can deliver. An 8” woofer driven by a 300W amp responds quickly to transients and keeps distortion to a minimum. Its compact size provides full-range sound without sacrificing floor space, and a crossover filter and phase control allow for easy integration into any audio system. Sub8 provides worry-free longevity with its rigid MDF construction, solid rubber feet, metal grill, and durable vinyl finish. With matching aesthetics, sub8 is the perfect companion to any Kanto speaker or wherever else, tight bass in a tight space is needed.

It was an affordable $225 musical bass that was great for both office and living room TV use. Except for the pop noise when turned on. Now it's headed for the landfill since it no longer works. I would have loved to use it for much longer.

Kanto is asking me if this is well designed. This is the only thing I will ask. If a Kanto 2 were to come out, can you use the TUK tweeter? Nothing wrong with the silk tweets, but the possibilities? Rhetorical question Ive been searching for highest valued cables. Five companies I use are Pangea, Voodoo Cables, Furutech, Moon Audio and Knukonceptz. I use a Xduoo TA-30 with two Shuguang black treasure 12au7s and one rectifier PSVane Cossor 274B/5U4G tubes. I love the the sweet, warm, accurate, holographic, charming 60-20K sound that I get to hear. Yes, you must also use a Sub if you want to know what you can achieve in sound. I was so happy with the SUB8. Great cables are a must to optimize sound. Kanto is doing their part, people have to figure out the rest. I ... MoreKanto is asking me if this is well designed. I may have reached out for the YU6 but it didnt come in that color. I desired a unit that offered the fat three prong plug. I attached quality power cords, speaker wires, sub cable, and RCA to 3.5 aux. Those black tubes I use thicken and darken the bass. Good luck getting the 12au7s.

This isn't a real expensive sub woofer but not cheap either I just discovered the Kanto brand online and bought the YU2 speakers for my iMac then added this subwoofer to give some nice bottom end to my iTunes music library. I'm very happy with the sound now and also like the design of the Sub8. If you don't want to break the bank but want excellent sound on your desktop, I highly recommend pairing up the Sub8 with some Kanto speakers, whether they be the YU2's or something more pricey from Kanto. I'm very satisfied with the Sub8's.

I got the Kant Sub8 to pair with the Kanto YU6 powered speakers for my desktop setup. It is a perfect pair, making a decent full range audio setup for my computer. Together they sound very nice, open and can get LOUD if I desire. I recommend these Kanto speakers.
Purchased to pair with Kanto YU6s. The sub8 was an improvement but not as crisp or robust as I'd hoped. Purchased the IsoAcoustics, IOS-00SUB stand and wow. That made all the difference. Now the low end is clean and well defined. The bass seems to come from the YU6's rather than some isolated boom box. For a sub and stand at this price, couldn't be more pleased.
This powered sub goes great with any high-end, bookshelf, speakers, or monitors. I have all white desktop components so you can imagine how good it looks easily worth the money.
Packs a punch and is the perfect bass complement for Kanto's Yu speakers. I have this paired with the Yu2 speakers and they sound amazing together so if you feel that your Yu speakers don't have enough bass as-is this is a great addition your ears will be thanking you for. It's a sizable unit, so take that under consideration if you are going to have this on your desk vs on the ground.
This sub is a beautiful piece of art. It also sounds perfect when matched with a couple monitors or bookshelf speakers!
I purchased this to pair with Kanto Bookshelf speakers. The quality of sound and build is fantastic! Very deep adjustable bass. Very clear sound. I would recommend this sub.
