I needed a small powerful bookshelf speaker for my living room. These work better than expected and look real classy. The sound is clean and crisp. I do recommend these for sure.

I found these on same website as a suggested entry level speaker to start getting into vinyl, and I was floored by home much better these sound than my sonos setup. Still love my sonos for movies and what not, but now for listening to music, these are the new cat's meow.

Reviews were somewhat limited so I used reference reviews on the Yumi models as my benchmark. I rolled the dice and am excited to say I'm thoroughly impressed with these guys! Bass extension is better than I'd anticipated and the audio is crisp with vocals really coming through clearly. They're slowly opening up and I'm getting a little more mid range coming through. Thus far with perhaps 10 hours on them, acoustic pop, jazz and rock really shine. My Audio Technica turntable sounds great, really reminding me how much I'd missed my vinyl (tested Def Leppard - Pyromania, Freddie Hubbard - Straight Life, Jack White - Lazaretto). As a note, poor quality audio has been less than stellar so do keep that in mind. The unboxing experience is excellent, both speakers protected in cloth sleeves. In your hands, they're sturdy and refined with a good weight. Additionally, the built in DAC for your digital inputs sounds great, though I may try my Schiit Modi out of curiosity. My configuration is Toslink out of my desktop computer (ASRock X99M F4tality) and Audio Technica LP1240 (with Shure M97x) mainly. Bluetooth testing has been very limited and at rather low volumes.

For the price, these are pretty awesome. Don't expect a lot of bass from a 4" driver...but in a small room, these sound fantastic. Tons of connection options make them useful for TVs or just to play sound using your phone or tablet. Also perfect add-ons for a desktop computer.
Bluetooth works great when switching devices. Excellent sound quality especially when using our turntable.
Another great value for me, Hosa hasn't let me down. I'm running directly out from my X99 Asrock motherboard to my newly acquired Kanto YU4 active speakers. No fuss, just clean and crisp audio. Be sure to check your lengths! These came in 5' and 10' lengths as I added to cart fully assuming I'd be receiving at 2 meter long cable initially and ordered the 5' model, no fault on Hosa completely on me. Outside of that difference from competitors, another phenomenal product.
I've had the YU4s in the bedroom for about six months and continue to be very impressed with the quality of sound from these powered speakers. They are perfect for use with your phone or tablet and they have every kind of input for just about any other media. The highs are incredibly clear and bright and they have surprisingly rich lows for bookshelf size speakers. The sound fills the bedroom space well and the bamboo finish, shape and exposed design blend great with the decor. All aspects of these YU4s from the packaging to the sound are high quality and as usual, the buying experience and service from B and H is the best.
Kanto is what I want in stereo speakers for my studio apartment. The sound is big and full without being hollow in my space. Not being a fan of wireless speakers because I didn't want to have to talk out loud to inanimate objects, I wanted something that was high quality, a reasonable cost, a timeless look and has clear instructions. I have never set up speakers before that needed speaker wire and the directions were clear and easy to follow. I was listening to music in minutes.
The only shortcoming is the bass is not as powerful as expected. Its understandable given the size of the speaker. Im considering getting a sub woofer. Its an excellent speaker overall.
The speakers sound okay, I felt like for near field listening my M1 Macbook Pro speakers sounded just as good. The reason why I returned these speakers is because you can't turn Bluetooth off which is bad if you live in a Apartment where neighbors can constantly connect to your speakers. I wish if they atleast added a pairing button. There is no USB input at this price the speakers should have it especially if the Kanto YU2 has one.
