Kara Coconut Cream 200ml

Coconut cream is a rich and creamy ingredient commonly used in culinary preparations. It is made by simmering grated coconut flesh in water and then straining it to obtain a thick, smooth liquid. This cream has a luscious texture and a slightly sweet, tropical flavor that adds depth to various dishes. Coconut cream is a versatile ingredient that can be used in both sweet and savory recipes. It is a popular addition to curries, soups, and stews, where it adds a creamy and indulgent element. It can also be used as a dairy-free alternative to cream in vegan and lactose-free recipes. In desserts, coconut cream is often used to make creamy and flavorful frostings, fillings, and sauces. It can be whipped to create a light and fluffy texture, perfect for topping cakes, pies, and other sweet treats. Coconut cream is also a key ingredient in many tropical desserts like coconut flan, coconut rice pudding, and coconut ice cream. When using coconut cream, it is important to shake the can well before opening to ensure the cream and liquid are well combined. Once opened, the cream can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a few days. The solid part may separate from the liquid when refrigerated, but it can easily be recombined by stirring or gently heating.

This stuff is great for thickening creamy coffee mixtures. I love it, and add it to my Hazelnut coffee. Then it is absolutely deliciously wonderful.

Best coconut cream I've found — thick, rich, and creamy. Note that you'll need two of these boxes for any recipe that calls for a can of coconut cream. I love the size for when I'm making something that just needs a little cream — not as wasteful. Also, these boxes hold up in shipping FAR better than canned coconut cream (particularly with Walmart's lousy packing).

I ordered this product about 2-3 weeks ago for $1.44 with free shipping. Now this same product and same seller is selling this for $7.98 with a $9.95 shipping fee. Not worth paying about $18 for this small amount if anything... For those with EBT benefits, EBT is no longer accepted to purchase this item now...

100% true coconut cream
20 June 2022

This is a true coconut cream, no sugar or sweetener added. 100% cream, not the milky liquid coffee creamer you typically see in the store refrigerator section that are full of added ingredients and sweeteners.Absolutely delicious. If you live in a cold climate ensure you have enough on hand before freezing temps hit as this product does not freeze well and you will wind up with a chunky lumpy mess in your coffee.

Amazing coconut cream
26 March 2021

Love this product. It taste so natural amdnis very rich and creamy. Also it has no sugar unlike other coconut creams that's loaded with sugar and little creaming effect. Great for home made ice cream as well.

Good cream, but ridiculous price
22 September 2017

Excellent tasting coconut cream. I use it to make coconut cream pie without any additional flavorings. This will probably not whip if you're trying to make coconut whipped cream, however. But the price is going up in a ridiculous fashion. First it was about $.98, my last shipment $1.08, and now it's 2.50?! That's a crazy price increase in just a week! I will probably have to resort to buying the canned version now because it'll be cheaper per ounce than this stuff. That's too bad, this had become my new favorite cream.

Great Shelf Stable Thick
7 August 2020

This 6.5 oz. (approximately 3/4 cup) shelf-stable Coconut Cream is so thick and creamy! I keep it on hand to make homemade Vegan Butter recipe that calls for 1/4 Cup of coconut cream (I use 1/4 Cup unrefrigerated only that is mixed with 1/2 Cup unsweetened soy milk; 1 Cup melted refined coconut oil (do not use refined or will taste like coconut); 1/4 Cup light-tasting olive oil; and pinch of turmeric for yellow color; whisk all together until pale yellow in color; pour into molds or a rectangular 2 Cup Glass container with snap tight lid. Keeps in fridge for 2-3 wks and also spreads, melts, slices, and can bake with it (not for frosting though.) Freezes well too.Can also make a 2nd separate batch of Vegan Butter on same day you make the 1st to use up to use up ... MoreThis 6.5 oz. So often will make a non-alcoholic Pina Colada with pineapple jui've if I only used 1/4 cup of carton. So glad found a way to use this shelf-stable Coconut cream! Plan to also try this in homemade Vegan ice cream recipes instead of using cans of coconut milk. Enjoy!

Great product, if u r lucky to enjoy it

The product is excellent, the size is ideal, the packaging is preferable to cans.Problem is the shipping. Walmart puts the tiny, soft packages in a big shipping box together with 12 1 liter bottles of Perrier Water. Most people know what will happen to the coconut cream packages. Walmart packers don’t.

No date, no source of where made, got ill.
6 March 2022

Did not have a "stamp date for expiration." Or much other information at all. Tasted funny, gave me a stomachache. I had used about a teaspoon in a 10 oz mug of coffee. And did not have where this was made. Next attempt I plan to heat a long time in the microwave! But no idea how to use this stuff so I can do that. It should have a how to use this product information on it.

Thick

I love this stuff. It’s incredibly thick and creamy. Much prefer it over the liquidy cans. When I get cans, I usually don’t use that much, and it ends up molding. I don’t want to eat curry for days on end, and I despise when food goes bad and needs to be thrown away… But with these lil cartons I can just cut it open, use a bit, add water to the pan to smoothen the consistency, and store the rest in the fridge for a few days. When I use the remainder of the package I pop some water inside and give it a good shake to get everything out. For me I waste much less this way, and can have one giant portion, or cook multiple small portions with different flavor profiles over a period of a few days. added bonus: no aluminum poisoning as it’s in a carton :)I always have 2 in ... MoreI love this stuff. Pop it open, dump it in your pan, add spices (or Thai green curry paste),
