Unlike many other products, this coat really is waterproof. On my border collie's first walk wearing it, she managed to get mud along both side edges but all I had to do when we got home was hose the mud off again, wipe dry and we were set to go again. The only problem with the coat is the fact that both straps buckle on the left and their combined weight tends to drag the coat down to that side . However, I really like the fact that the coat is made from recycled material.
