With a design and material based on the award-winning Targhee Boot, this shoe variant offers the same level of performance but in a lighter, smaller package.The upper of the Targhee III made from a conglomerate of leather and performance mesh, the combination of these materials ensures a supple, lightweight design. The fabric lined with Keen Dry, a proprietary waterproof but breathable membrane to ensure your feet stay dry regardless of the conditions. Moreover, the shoe rolls up to encompass the toe-box to offer added protection. The Keen All-Terrain rubber outsole unit mounted through direct injection moulding forming a low-density EVA midsole that provides a high level of underfoot cushioning. The Keen All-Terrain utilises 4mm multi-directional aggressive lugs to provide traction on a variety of terrains. Dual-density PU foam fitted to the footbed for additional arch support for first-time hikers. This, combined with both the moulded collar and cushion panel under the Achilles, makes the Targhee III comfortable out of the box. To ensure support for a lightweight boot, Keen have also fitted an ESS shank to provide structural rigidity and lessening any potential fatigue experienced on a hike.A TPU heel-capture system offers additional stability and reduces the effects of heel lift, one of the primary causes of blisters on the heel.
